Such a shame. We had it and let it go. Not sure how many more chances we will get. I'm worried coz the Broncos might snatch a win

Too many soft tries conceded. We had them at 28-22 and we let them score another soft try. Maybe a good thing that we not are some if these faces next season.

I try not to be so negative normally (today's game really got to me) and I will stick with them no matter what, but I genuinely think this is the worst Dogs side I've seen in the 30+ years I've been supporting them.

+xUgly z grade game...kick chase sadly lacking most of game Yep. Kick chase on our last 7 tackle set, virtually non existent. Two tackles and back to halfway. Bulldogs had two 7 tackle sets in the last bit and made it to the Tigers 40 mark.

They cut us up on the edges again and again.... that BJ try summed it up how bad we defended Ogden was brilliant Young kid Doorey was excellent

The first field goal attempt from Cogger was the wrong play. Try to score a try or force them to come off their line.
That game was very poor from both sides, Tigers lucky enough to win, but it will be a miracle if the build on that.
Positives for us...
Doorey good on debut.. Meaney mostly good. Foz vey good. Fairly good games from Jackson, Kotoa and JMK,
Holland and Cogger were bad selections, Cogger played fairly well by his standards, but he isn't the answer.
Foz going off injured was critical...
This season is a bit worse than the last few, we are a shambles.

He just needed to be given the ball with 1 more second to set himself better like Brooks did.

The way forward is to give more young players a run. Apart from not being good enough, many of the current side look tired and low in confidence. Young guys might at least have some energy.

We were leading by 6 and on top, fake the field goal attempt and run the ball IMO, the way he was set up he would kick sbout 1 in 10. However his 2nd attempt was better. IMO good sides try to score a try in that situation going for the field goal brings the opposition back into the game. It was a low percentage play, but it summed up the game. We didn't lose it on a single play.

Foran at his best and Meaney was good also. Cogger OK, especially after Leilua running at him all day. Dogs have surely the worst centres/wingers in the comp. I must ask why the FVck do Montoya, Lafai, Smith and Tolman take the first 4 tackles when running out from our line.

+xOh my god. Jmk did brilliantly until he passed to Tolman who did his best NOT to score. Even the video ref felt sorry for us an awarded it The problems not tolman with that,,, it’s the other 12 blokes that aren’t in support...

Lafai was never a great defender but his game has really gone backwards in both attack and defence.
Holland always handy in attack, poor in defence and prone to the odd dumb play
Smith and Montoya ok, at times we were way out numbered on the edges, a good side would have thrashed us.
In fact we played better against the Storm..

Teams regularly make it easily to our 22 when running from inside their 22. Conversely we just get it halfway regularly.

Our attack has improved but this is the lowest energy levels in defense I seen from a Dogs side. The 2008 side were woeful defenders but they put in the effort. I think Baz is right to clean out the joint we don't look fit enough or desperate enough. Pre-covid we did... It isn't all the new rules, Manly and Newcastle defended much better against much better attack. A big problem is our props lack authority Odgen has added something. It is disappointing but I think the players have been worn down, for most of the season the effort was good. But our energy and confidence seem low, players are starting to under peform. The guys like Foran that stepped up deserve extra credit.

It was a weird game, both sides low on energy and confidence at times both were woeful in defence At times both were good in attack, completions and kicking game were good. I can't remember a great tackle to stop a try from either side. Even Tols had 2 defenders on him and managed to wriggle free.

The newsreader is such a nice guy.... but he just doesn’t have any urgency/aggression in his defence to try and stop tries when he’s the last line of defence That lame effort to try and stop BJ today.... last week it was a piss poor effort on the PNG storm centre too
I’m not saying the newsreader is the worst player we’ve got, but he just doesn’t have it for me as a full time fullback unfortunately

We fail to win territorial battle and are effectively losing the game before we even start. Mentality must change

I’m not saying the newsreader is the worst player we’ve got, but he just doesn’t have it for me as a full time fullback unfortunately I think Meaney is OK without being exceptional. He is fine as fullback while we rebuild this rebuilt side. In about 2 years, we can decide if we want more from our fullback or if he is sufficient for our purposes. One particular player that disappoints me is Reimis Smith. He seems like he just cant break a tackle and plays half arsed.
