I still reckon that Lynn Anderson and co should publicly challenge Greenberg because it is painfully obvious that the NRL only take action against certain clubs. Then again the public aren't stupid, it is quite obvious Greenberg is tippy-toeing around the Souths issue. If he was genuine he would have had the players involved and the club interviewed, charged and fined the day after the news broke. Well he would have if it was the Dogs.

I hate to not jump on the victim train but anyway....

The reason The NRL are yet to take any action against Souths or Burgess or anyone else involved is quite straight forward.

The girl in question is refusing to be interviewed or questioned or it seems anything by The NRL or even Souths. The last anyone's heard is she's in France and attempts to contact her have been rejected.

Now I'm not defending Burgess or Souths, they can do that themselves. But if there was a similar accusation against a Dogs player and then the accuser would not be questioned what would you expect to be done?

I have to agree and im disappointed that she raised concerns a while back when it was kept to only afew peoples knowledge, yet now that some action can be taken, she goes AWOL.

Also, no matter whether she is willing to step forward or not, Greenburg has shown he is not willing to affect the sale of the product (NRL) for the next couple of weeks, by taking action that could adversely affect Souths performance. He will wait till after the GF with any punishment.

...and this is why the games integrity is laughable......

Souths are playing the Roosters, so I want Burgess playing even though if the game was really concerned about its image he would not be.

Regardless, Souths or Burgess have not denied what the girl has said and if there was no issue she would not have complained.

But I don't think we should whinge about this, or make an issue of it, we will be wasting our time.,

I can't see whether she comes forward or not makes that much difference?

If you think we get persecuted, I dare you to even contemplate the media scrums, constant invasion of privacy and slut shaming and barrage of abuse this woman will receive if she outs herself. Sam and the players know who she is and its just a matter of time before they go after her.
Apparrently she has given a full account and timeline, including the subsequent harrassing phone calls, the video and screen shots of pics and conversations had,  so Todd and the sweep it under the carpet committee have enough info to determine if these actions have brought the game into disrepute. And that's all we really care about anyway. If it's consensual gone wrong, not our business but he got himself into this situation..no one else.


Whether it was consensual or not, the married guy /face of "the pride of the league", exposed himself on a public media carriageway (as did others in the team) ...that is an offence more heinous than getting drunk naked amongst mates at a private function...or spewing in the gutter or mixing drinks with your d!ck for a stupid lark, but where you have every right to believe it is private. None of those guys are married and having to worry about disrespecting their wife or child.

And...then we have Souths complicity and not notifying the integrity committee. Junk file after already replying? I don't think so...unless it was directed there.

When you think about it this is worse than Mitchell Pearce "pretending" with a dog and Greenberg was quick to make judgement then.

Hypocritical double standards...that's what is so wrong about this. 

Childish prank by Elliott amongst footy mates and NRL and most media carrying like he has beaten a woman. Or taken a video of unsuspecting sex partner. Or even caught with cocaine ...snorting in the street. Or cheated the salary cap. 

Just my opinion tho.

Well she mustn't have impressed panelwoman Murphy then, because panelwoman Murphy and the rest of the IU have just cleared them all.

Without knowing what went on here, I will say that people who claim they know what went on here have been saying since day one that there was more going on here than what appeared to be going on here.

Ok so this is how stupid the shoulder charge rule is.  .

Feki is about to score in the corner, Slater comes in, in cover and half a meter from the line, he shoulder charges Feki out (having put a hand on him first I might add) and the ref is forced to blow a penalty.

What is a defender suppose to do?
Watch him score? Or attempt a futile tackle that results in a try anyway.

There should be no shoulder charge rule in try scoring situations.
