So the positions of the players leaving are Two props, two halves and four outside backs. Hopefully to be replaced with two hard running props, a hooker and a half and four of the fastest outside backs available. 

Smith is the kinds of player every club needs.

No frills but gets the job done and has an instinct for the game.

Probably add to that 22 the two blokes from Manly that Tom's keen on - Waddell and Boyle. I assume they're signed? I'd like to think Biondi-Odo could get a call up to the 30 too.

I thought the AFL were wrong having a rest week before the finals.  Seeing the NRL teams this week I'm not so sure.

Should the salary cap be how much a club is paying their players, how much their players are being paid or a combination of both.
Penrith are paying 300k for RCG and 200k for Blake.  Fair enough Penrith have this on their cap, it was their stuff up.  Parramatta however can effectively and legally have players being paid 500k over the cap.  If the purpose of the cap is level the playing field does it matter who pays the dollars.  Maybe for cap purposes contract value should be counted.

I'm happy with all the changes happening at the club.

I don't know about Barrett's coaching but I feel he's the guy to take our heads out of the 80's Bulldogs butt.

We've been hiding behind the whole 80's Bulldogs dynasty mantra for too long. The game has gone past it a long time ago. We haven't. Time to modernise our game, our coaching and even our pigeon stadium.

Moolooaba eh' Spent 1 year of of my life down there mainly in Troppo's at the old  Mooloolaba Hotel.  Thursday arvo, Friday and Saturday nights plus big Sunday sessions in the bar.
