Re the 6 again. Maybe we good get some fairness/balance if the tackled player was to be made play to the rules. I mean, get to his feet, face the opponents goal line, lift the ball clear of the ground, place the ball on the ground and make a genuine attempt to use the foot while maintaining balance.

+xFekk me Flanagan is shit. He's just shit personified. Sorry.... he's shit in THIS team. He would probably be good in a Storm or Panthers team, where players in motion can make him look good. But he's shit in this team

We needed that.
To get back into the game, cut out the dub errors, complete our sets with a good kick,

+xWe are definitely gone.... Your reverse psychology was doing fine until Elliott gives away a criminal 6 again. Seriously, has there been a dumber set of players ever assembled?

Perth Glory never looks like scoring = draw Hawks thrashed after 5mins. Dogs well beaten after 5mins.
Bad day

Flanagan must go.
Barrett really needs to he told by someone that he cant keep carrying him.
Tom is not listening to me.

I know we have to be patient but does it also have to be fvcking painful. Way too many brain farts to mount any challenge whether we had possession or not. It is easy to see why a lot of these players wont be with us next year. They are such a frustrating team to follow.

+xFlanagan must go. Barrett really needs to he told by someone that he cant keep carrying him. Tom is not listening to me. The only option is Wakeham who has a good running game. IMO Wakeham and Averillo combine well. Wakeham is a better defender. Only issue Wakeham seems a bit timid, he needs to step up and control a game. He has the ability. Overall too many dropped balls and missed tackles. I recon Baz is going to say we played well in patches... because we did put together 10-15 mins of good footy. .

If the fan meeting can be belived we will see some young players from round 10 and a lot of players will be moved on. I am with Marki, Flanagan is one player Baz should consider dropping.

There was no way we ever going to beat the Eels tonight .. They have like the other top 4 teams the right balance of players.. players feed positive from each other so well .. Flanno like what was said earlier would be a great player in a good team but not a player to get the team out of a rut ..Baz not a first grade coach seems like a top bloke but with him there I doubt he could get us into the top 4 or even a top 8 position..

I agree that the problem is bigger than 1 player, but we need to try to find solutions position by position. Apart from week 1 I haven't been happy with Flanagan. Even last week against the Sharks he didn't do much to contribute to the win. In contrast Averllo was ordinary week 1, but has improved each week. Katoa and Napa I was happy against the Sharks, but that seems like a one off. Maybe these players will come good. In any case Napa is probably out injured, that is opportunity for a young guy to get a run.

I think the blaming Flanno thing is very unfair. The forwards are so obviously the problem. They aren’t running hard, hitting hard or just simply doing their job. The only time they did we beat the Sharks. Andrew John’s would look like shit behind our forward pack.
Now after saying that I still am not a big fan of Flanno and thought his signing was not a good one. I still think we desperately need an experienced halfback and/or hooker. But I understand now what Baz is doing. Setting us up long term.
That means we are going to be struggling for a few years while we bring through young talent. Hopefully it’s the right call. Because if we don’t have the good young players coming through we are struggling for double that many years

Blaming Flanno instead of the forwards for losing is like blaming the steering in your Mitsubishi Scorpion when losing by four laps in a five lap race to the Porsche 911.

+xBlaming Flanno instead of the forwards for losing is like blaming the steering in your Mitsubishi Scorpion when losing by four laps in a five lap race to the Porsche 911. He is the one player where I think we may have a significantly better player. The forwards struggle to compete all the more reason to have a half with a good kicking game, a running game and playmaking instincts. Apart from being a great goal kicker, Flano doesn't offer much in any department of the game. Forwards wise we have some size in reserve grade but they might not be ready for the pace of NRL. In fact Odgen might be the best option, I hope his defence has improved. I am also not seeing starting hooker grade defence from Katoa. Against the Sharks we started well and had a lot of early posession, unless we improve the defence and the 5th tackle options that will not happen often.

Hoppa also 5 missed tackles, 1 error. The forwards had high tackle counts, but still way too many misses.
The first Parra try was particularly disappointing.
