I see him as similar to Wade Graham.

He wants to play in the halves and has experience as a junior.
He should get to a tipping point where he improves rapidly, he is just rusty.

I like the idea of an Averillo / Burton combination becuase both are dangerous ball runners.
Add in JAC or Duffty ar fullback and BBO at dummy-half the opposition need to worry about miiltiple threats just from the spine. The mesns ball runners get more opportunity.

 For as long as I can remember the Olympic Medal Tally has been expressed in terms of Gold Medals. Currently led by China and Japan with US 3rd and Aussies 4th. Normally you'd expect to see the US get to number 1 but their usual dominance in field events is not in evidence this time round. But it doesn't stop them putting themselves at #1 as they have won the most total number of medals. So look on a US site and #1 is USA...NOT the way it is tabulated!

I read an article on this yesterday actually as ROC had more total medals than AUS in 4th and 5th spots while AUS was about to overtake them in gold.

The IOC response was that each country can report them in any way they want for various reasons but the IOC chooses to award them on Gold, Silver, Bronze basis rather than totals.

I'm more in favour of the IOC method personally but I cant begrudge the USA in putting some sort of PR spin on it....

What's more interesting is that the gold medal weights 556grams and is made of pure silver (560gms) with only 6gms of gold plating. The only difference between it and the silver is the gold plating. The silver is worth around $550 while the gold plating is another $480 odd, so the trial cost of the gold is around $1k.

If course, it's worth much more once it has been won and awarded to an athlete. Abit like a wooden spoon is worth $2 at reject shop but is worth much much more when the Dogs won it.....

We are generating nothing in attack. We have Dufy coming who can generate some attack, but I feel without an organising half and a better hooker, our recruits may be wasted.

I thought Flanno looked OK in the first 10 but has faded.
Once the opposition had him tackling he was gone.

I was one that was hopeful of an improved performance from Flanno tonight, but I’ve been proven wrong. His kicking game was horrendous & defensively, very poor. 

Yep. Trying to win this by playing a tight game style just won't work. Not at 16-0.

Our tackling technique is so poor it's not funny. 
We get 3 of our guys twisted in tackles from an attacker FFS. They are then all off side coz no one gets square at marker. Pathetic is not a good enough word

The only good thing that may come out of this game is that finally the penny might drop for Barrett and Gould now that Okunbor is slow, uncoordinated and gets absolutely lost in defence- he offers nothing but a memory of 2 runs against the storm 2 years ago -GO OKUNBOR IE.
