Sloppy stuff so far. Conditions look a bit tough but the pitch is great.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

City absolutising dominated first half in India. 2-0 up through Vidosic and McGree. Game being streamed on City’s Facebook if anyone’s interested.

+xSo India basically on par with the NPL or worse? I can't speak for India, but Kerala probably on par but it's hard to know, that's their first game with a new new coach, they aren't in the middle of their season. They had a few handy players like their right wing who gave us some trouble a couple of times, they had a DM who seemed ok and a few moments in the game when they countered, Boozanis made two or three saves. They did look to park the bus though, but it was pleasing we made a lot of chances and scored 3 when all the kids had come on. Girona will be a good test, 10th in La Liga last season and have already played friendlies in England, last one against Wolves I think so they won't be as rusty either.

City are playing some stinky football
Jamieson, Delbridge and Galekovic are really being made to look like A-League players.

The lack in intensity and composure between these sides is embarrassing really.

No-one for city looks like they have the technical ability/football smarts anywhere near those of Girona.

To be fair, I've never even heard of the CB Graham.

Jerks beat Al-Ahli 2-1 overnight in Spain. Goals to Hoffman and K. Petratos, Vargas played final 20 minutes. Pictures here, we are wearing (apparently) our new home kit: https://newcastlejets.com.au/news/gallery-newcastle-v-shabab-al-ahli-dubai-fc

Might grow on me but can't say I'm a fan. The collar is weird. Also I miss the gold numbers :(

Jets youth also put in a solid performance in the Leifang Cup in China during their 2-1 loss to Boca Juniors. Apparently the seconds half was very positive. There was another Petratos in that team as well, apparently, named Yerasimakis Petratos. I’d like to see if any of these young guys can make the step up occasionally this season. At least the Jets have played a lot of pre-season games and mini tournaments, so hopefully that’ll help keep the momentum from last season.

It would appear that Pali is a half-Aussie whose been playing in Portugal, no idea who Ciccoloni is.
