Roar supposed to be going with orange and black again. Interesting to see how they work the Actron Air into the new kits. Hopefully not a huge block on the front.

I read somewhere (not sure where) Sydney will be releasing its new kit in August sometime.

Can’t imagine too much will change. I’ll go out on a limb and say there will be a third kit that’s Fluro yellow or something just to get a bit of noise.

Hmm maybe, but  if you look at their logo on the many different types of air conditioning units, the colors range from dark silver, light grey, creamy white and completely white and each time the logo is blended in with the original color.

You could be right though but from a selling point of view it would be a disaster, I get clubs need a sponsor but they won't be selling any jerseys with a big white box on the front :laugh:

I think ActronAir would prefer it on a white background but they have their logo on multiple backgrounds including an all white logo on a black background.

If they stick with white square they’ll piss a lot of fans off.

I don't get why the FFA Cup logo can't be imprinted like the other logos and sewn on instead.
Do they literally sew a logo on and then remove it? Is it too costly to order a few hundred separate FFA Cup kits?

On that, are there limits on how often a new kit can be created and launched in the hal. 
I have no idea what the thing is anywhere these days but 20 or so years ago in the EPL a kit had to see out a two year cycle.
Here there seems to be constant changing of kits on a yearly bases. New sponsor slapped down in an ugly manner, new supplier and essentially just the same half arsed thing. A sky blue shirt or a red shirt etc. 
Would be nice to have less new releases and up the quality and specialness of each kit.
Any ideas?

Those SFC home kits look great, nice, clean and classic.

Will wait to see the whole kit but looks like possibly the best kit to date.

Haha no thanks. I've always wanted a flute orange  with sky blue/navy trim but after updating the crest it'll never happen.

Agree with this.  All third kits should be 'out there' designs or 'fan submitted' or something out of the square.  Look at the huge buzz when Nigeria released their kit.

I think we’re going to see a lot of plane kits this year, I’m expecting both Roar and City to be similar and WSW rarely change kit design

How does the new Sydney home kit look different to last seasons?

Main difference is last season had the navy sleeves whereas this one has sky blue throughout with just a bit of a navy pattern on the top of the shoulders. Last season also had the faint stripe down the middle.

This was posted on the CIty forum. The home kit looks ok but the away looks crap even with a pattern.

Something off about those collars, not sure what it is.

Hoping Roar revert to classic Orange (and black)

Just stumbled along here again and got intrigued by the Sydney FC third kit ideas so decided to do some mock-ups for you, I've always hated that the orange was never used more, think it would make a great addition, if not the full kit definitely the for the trim. So I've played around with some patterns from the opera house and some sash designs which I think look not too bad at all.

I normally dislike Sydney FC kits (so boring) but these are awesome!!!

Those are so good. Love the one with the sky blue sash. it makes me angry that the club/Puma can't do something interesting for once for the away/third kit. People would snap that up.

Sure can, i'll get onto some, slowly working on all teams atm, any suggestions for the city kits?

People still miss the red and white of Heart. Maybe trying to incorporate White, Heart Red and City Blue together. Others have tried and its hard to get red and light blue to go together well.

Absolutely, I've got a few here I hope get the feeling people are after, they're not easy colours to mix well, I've seen quite a few attempts and had a couple myself, one of these below is an updated version of what I put up here maybe 5 years back lol. 

Love to know what people think, does it work or is the red+city blue combo a bit too much of an ask?

@El-Telepathy, While you're at it, if you've got the time, could you please do a mock up Victory kit similar to Velez Sarsfield with the V on the front and back. The new Velez kit is one of my favourite ever kits and i'd love to see a Victory version.
