I'd like to know what the FFA are doing as they try to derail the process. If true, they can fuck off.

+xMarconi $45 million turnover and $3.3 million profit, yet some people still argue they should be allowed to be in the top tier but 'semi-professional' . Surely they could afford to pay young Australian players a reasonable minimum wage to train and play full time. Sick of the excuses from the greedy NPL board members just interested in profits over football. How many of these 'greedy NPL board members' have clubs which are turning a profit?

I see clubs like Marconi and Mounties and other social clubs around the country investing in youth and football if the cap was scrapped and a full football pyramid on pro / rel was introduced.
These clubs have the financial backing, and the player transfer fees on offer would entice them to invest unprecedented amounts into football in Australia

Exactly why fall for expansion bait and pay for a licence when in a few years or so they may be Able to apply at the lower tier and work their way up on the field for free

+x+xIt makes you wonder what possible last ditch FFA action could possibly take to derail the process.Apart from issuing threats and instructing it's state minions to vote against change in a scorched earth style retreat, they can't possibly have anything constructive to put forward on the very last day.If change does come,i look forward to the press conference where Gallop and Lowy sit there like lame ducks. The one guaranteed outcome is that there will be massive meltdowns all over the place because people have worked themselves into a frenzy of expectations. When those expectations aren't met or perhaps even dealt with at any level, then the howls of anguish and "we wuz robbed" will cry out all over. Pitchforks and torches anybody? Should be a fun couple of days, weeks. Should fill in the off season quite nicely.

Which straight away makes you wonder who came up with the story. No quotes, nothing. So it's either completely fabricated or somebody is getting a conspiracy theory ready to undermine the outcomes. Madame Chair seems to have been on top of the shenanigans ...so far. Will pull up a pew and watch. +x+xFFA is believed to be making last-ditch attempts to derail the process
wtf is their problem? It would have to be S.Lowy wouldn't it? He knows as soon as the voting process becomes somewhat democratic.... he's done for. The ultimate shit truck!

+xDoesn't segment it but I'd imagine the lions share of the 36m from the 45m is gaming. is it worse than making money from gambling ads?

Vince Rugari reports on the News site. I have copied some bits, sounds encouraging . full article https://www.news.com.au/sport/football/ffas-congress-review-deadline-arrives/news-story/a28b77ca206f831f625dd33e87bda28aAAP understands the working group has reached agreement over the contents of the report it will submit to FIFA and will conduct a final vote on Tuesday - however, FFA is believed to be making last-ditch attempts to derail the process It’s anticipated the group will also push for the A-League to be run independently of FFA – a recommendation of the Crawford Report in 2003 that was not enforced when Lowy came to power. FIFA has directed its findings be adopted at an FFA special general meeting by September 7

So according to reports the FFA are trying a last ditch attempt to derail this process.
Still beleive the recommendations are going to be submitted by close of business.

+xHow much of that would be gaming revenue? Do you have segmented financials? Also, how much does MV, SFC or WSW turnover? I'd imaging a similar amount? Club Marconi Annual Report 2017: https://www.clubmarconi.com.au/wp-content/uploads/bsk-pdf-manager/2017/09/Club-Marconi-2017-AnnualReport.pdfMV turnover is about $20m and SFC is just behind them. I'm not sure what WSW turnover is now.

+xThink of how much money Marconi club actually makes in a year. They could be amongst the top financed clubbed in an uncapped league..They could base themselves from Marconi stadium redeveloped and modernised. Call themselves south west, or Fairfield City / Fairfield Stallions whatever they call themselves. They would have a top grade youth teams setup from u6 to u21 as they have for decades now.But these clubs won’t be back in the top tier until promotion and relegation is put in place with a scrapped cap Turnover in 2017 was $45m and profit before tax was $3.3m.
