This is really good. I think we need more Jamaicans training in the A-League.

Personally I do actually think this is super cool.
The only problem that I see exists anyway, and would still without this.
We need expansion, 2nd div, p&r, proper youth league, expanded squads etc.. this in conjunction with those things, I think most would agree is pretty awesome. Focus is still firmly on the ffa to do way more and do better.
Bolt isn't taking anyones spot and could end up performing a myriad of roles at the club and in the region. As a regional boy myself, I think it's amazing.

@ Savic

I think that’s a reasonable statement. In isolation Bolt taking a trial is no drama, German football didnt go in to meltdown over the same thing. But the context in Australia is different; the Lowy command and control model has left many unhappy and frustrated and Bolt is a natural target.

My view is “it’s only Mariners”, they’re kind of an out-there club as it is with their plastic source bottles, brass band instead of active support and cannon. Bolt should fit right in and, for a little while at least, generate a lot of interest for them (all Sydney radio stations talking about mariners on the same day, when has that happened before?).

There’s nothing to see here, just a gimmick, the really important arguments are taking place elsewhere

Never a truer word spoken.

As soon as Usain samples the lunch menu at the Central Coast Leagues Club across the road he'll be dreaming of a flight out of there.
