The Covert Agent can reveal that Halloran has been the target of a number of A-League sides but has agreed to join the Reds. http://www.goal.com/en-au/news/the-covert-agent-ben-halloran-agrees-to-join-adelaide-united/1l7y0hetydi521nxkqows1wlxk

Goodwin on the left and Halloran on the right is a decent starting attack in the A-League with Kitto and Mileusnic as serviceable back ups.
Kitto and Goodwin can both cover LB as well if need be

Agree Davide82. How did you think Adelaide went against CCM, not exactly a “test” but did the Reds look good?

+xAgree Davide82. How did you think Adelaide went against CCM, not exactly a “test” but did the Reds look good? More than anything I was just impressed with Goodwin. He looked to be on another level. Literally every ball he played into the box resulted in a chance or he hit the back post because the keeper couldn't to decide to come or go. He never looked like being close to losing the ball once. Looks like a man with a point to prove. We possibly controlled the play more than a lot of games last season but opposition quality can dictate that a lot. New German midfielder had the odd shaky touch but reckon him and Isaias will get an understanding pretty quickly (and he scored a bicycle kick aha). We comprehensively controlled the game start to finish but honestly, we were put under so little pressure I had to remind myself not to get too excited. Not to mention we beat Newcastle and destroyed MV in the FFA cup at Marden last year and they ended up in the GF

Has Hallaron improved as a player over the years or is he still a head down arse up down the wing with no skill type of player?
One dimensional etc in the same sense like all Tommy Oar used to do was bomb down the wing and cross.

Very happy with this if true. Will be the final piece of the puzzle to ensure good balance all over the pitch. Could be a massive season and is hinging on Baba coming right and Ilso being a good fit in the AM position. All other positions I'm now very happy with so bring on the season farkin..

Good pick-up by Adelaide. They've assembled a good squad.

Still questions about what's going on with Baba and also with Isa's citizenship. We might still see one more. Agree that this signing is good one for us :)

I'm extremely glad he's joined someone other than Roar. Similar skill level to Usain Bolt ... and not as fast.

Agree that this signing is good one for us :) Baba has to be one of our stranger and more frustrating signings I can remember. I just always have this feeling that if he was fit and firing he would dominate...but he never has been. I was sure last season Absalonsen to Baba was going to put us into contention. In the end we got half a season from Absalonsen which he almost did that by himself but it wasn't enough. Haven't seen enough of Ilso (ie. just that 20 minutes) to get a feel for where he will play either. Maybe that will be dictated by Baba's fitness too.

Only reason I said it was I saw the official club facebook account respond to someone saying that our 5 VISA spots were taken when someone asked if we were signing someone or other but no idea how "in the know" the social media guy is I guess.
