Lol the contradictions. Its a surfing reserve; for the purpose of surfing. Competition is held in Tahiti each year. They don't appear to be harming anything in Tahtiti or Cloudbreak. This objection just sounds like typical Aussie bullies & thugs. You gotta laugh at the hypocrisy. Ex-professional WA surfers and dispossessed Aboriginal communities. Suddenly white man is the protector of the land (and they probably give the black Elders a few cases of grog or an old 4WD for their support). I am sure Aussies trash these places all the time. Where does the hypocrisy end?
