Back with this rubbish again.  Kayo would be lucky to have 180K subscribers now which includes a big boost from the AFL, NRL and Super Cars (/F1 too).
If only 10K watched in on the traditional Foxtel platform there would not be more than 10K watching it through various streams.
The best NRL games are only having 20K watch on Foxtel Now, yet get 300K+ on the traditional platform.  And AFL is like 15K for its best games this year and get 250K+ on the traditional platform.

Fox would be well aware of Kayo figures and would know it’s adding very little to the numbers overall, this argument that Hal fans are younger and more tech savvy and have moved to kayo and streaming by the tens of thousands is a laughable argument. If A league games are only pulling 10-25k on the box you can bet the streaming numbers are dire. The reality is most kayo subscribers are still afl/nrl and cricket followers.

Geelong might be nice. Maybe the real estate value may be too much of a temptation. Real estate agents are among the dodgiest and we love their money.

I have to disagree with that. a few months ago we were all crying out for expansion to give the league the reinvigoration it so desperately needs. you know, too many matches against the same old boring teams. why would that have changed now? the biggest mistake they made is not going to 12 teams next season. the WSW excuse it a joke.

The addition of 1 team playing in a half empty stadium with no supporters is nothing new.
