Play it as a video and it looks nothing like that, watch it ... the vast majority of people see it was wrong and most aren't surprised that the ref and var didn't fix it at the time cause we all saw what happened last season. It appears you doubt even know who played the game. Also if the shirt pulling was enough for a pen, was the propulsion of him letting go of the shirt what made him lunge forward cause thats fucking amazing.

+xAnd now his confidence is completely ruined. Poor way to deal with it He fucked up twice. Once for a wrong call. Second for having the chance to overrule his incorrect decision, which he didn't. In the end, the VAR was there to say 'the supposed foul was inside the box', which it was. I hate VAR and I think it should die, but the ref was in the wrong here.

Hi everyone. The cheating diving scum should be punished by at least 3 games. I nicknamed him Fornarolling. "The A-League has admitted referee Kurt Ams should not have awarded a foul to Bruno Fornaroli in Melbourne City's 2-1 derby win over Melbourne Victory on Friday night, a decision that led to a penalty and goal for the Uruguayan's team." https://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/referee-got-fornaroli-foul-call-wrong-says-a-league-20181021-p50b1r.html

I hate VAR and I think it should die, but the ref was in the wrong here. Rubbish. He made a reasonable call ( Brown's contact inside the box with Fornaroli's leg who was already off balance). FRAME 4 Fornaroli was off balance because of Baena's (?) arms and legs locking, and hand following through in the back also in the box. Frames 1,2 and 3 https://www.yellowfever.co.nz/categories/straya-a-league-and-state-leagues/topics/var-the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly?page=4#post_1264834Victory lost the game not because of the ref, but because of Troisi, who still thinks he's a marquee.

In all of this debate, the thing which has got lost is the ineptitude of Brown, and the question of why did he attempt to tackle Fornaroli when there was no chance, repeat, no chance, of him getting anywhere near the ball. As a Brisbane supporter, I am very thankful that Victory took him off our hands this year. It was the first, but certainly won't be the last of his brain explosions that cost you points this year.

Anyway the result won't be over-turned and the game will not be replayed.
What the FFA coming out like this is will do is that Fornaroli for the next few rounds will not have illegal fouls called on him, and the refs will be on a hair trigger to book him for diving. As happened with Arzani because the FFA is too scared of the "Socka players are soft divers".

This is a good outcome. Hold referees accountable for their ineptitude.
After watching Barcelona v Inter mid week, its obvious that Uruguayans are some of the biggest cheats in world football. Floparolli's compatriot, Suarez, would fall over whenever the breeze hit him.
Shameful players and a disgrace to the game really.

Many in media in Melbourne saying he got of lightly.
Jon Faine on abc suggested a more fitting punishment would’ve been 100 paper cuts across the mouth of his bell end.

Probably him's just injured Honda A-League marquee Keisuke Honda has suffered a knock at Melbourne Victory training ahead of Sunday's visit of Perth Glory. UPDATED As the training session on Gosch's Paddock came to a close, the Japanese international found himself on the floor after a collision with a teammate. Honda pointed at his knee and spent a few minutes on the turf, unable to continue training as the session had finished.

Didn't see this live but caught a replay quickly. Brown looked to be all over him from behind. If Fall'n'rolli gets touched in the box when it's 3v1 he'll go down. Brown is silly for not realising that. Terrible of ffa to not back the ref ever but particularly here. Also, Faine is anti football. He's a hockey player and a pompous toss pot to boot. His opinion is irrelevant.

I do not trust this ref. Same ref who could sense Sydney would equalise in the semi final against MV and gave them all the time they needed. I was suspicious then and absolutely lacking in trust of him now. Sack him. He's an incompetent clown.

I don't trust any Ref in the A-League, especially the ones that are on as full time ripping the system and ripping teams of. Nothing is going to make the refs better in Australia, not even having them on full time. As for the likes of Fornarolling, the refs don't have the brains to work out that he is a cheating scum always ready to fall at the least opportunity, this is a blight on the game, especially the way football is looked at in Australia.
