The spotlight is all over the Cricket Australia.

Sutherland, Peever, Tubby... who else will announce their retirement this year?

You could see how conflicted Taylor was in the press conference. He obviously has a few big opinions on how the game is being run, but can't express them publicly while he's still a CA board member. I don't think we've heard the last of him.

I think the Ian Chappel Peter Fitzsimmons interview may have not helped this no end. Search for it on twitter. Gets a bit salty.

https://twitter.com/SportsSunday/status/1058980716887699456?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1058996214861971456&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.springfielddailyrecord.com.au%2Fnews%2Fian-chappell-takes-aim-at-peter-fitzsimons-during-%2F3567667%2F

In the same interview - Tubby went after the ACA for demanding that Warner, Smith and Bancroft be released from their bans.

He has already resigned two weeks ago. He finishes after the Ashes (if he gets that far).

I agree with Tubs.

Warner and Smith should stay banned for the year.

Did I hear that CA will hold a meeting soon to decide whether the ban should be reduced or scrapped altogether. I am betting the former.. with Smith/ Warner being allowed to play Shield cricket and or BBL.

Could this have been  part of the reason Tubs jumped ship. As he opted for the full ban to remain.

It is going to be a long season I am afraid. That is why I think Tubs possibly resigned.

I missed Howard's departure at first too - but I am accurate on it, it has been reported from Oct 24.

You know what they say about ships going down.
