Western United, the A-League's newest franchise, is believed to have signed former Melbourne Victory teen sensation Sebastian Pasquali for its first season in the competition. Pasquali made a huge impact when still a 16-year-old at Melbourne Victory when he played against Juventus in the 2016 International Champions Cup, a pre-season tournament involving the Italian giants, Atletico Madrid and English Premier League club Tottenham. Pasquali made his first-team debut for Victory in the Melbourne derby in October 2016, but instead of graduating to Victory's first-team squad and signing a longer-term contract, he opted to move to Europe.
