+x+xIs this guy even going to play this season? Does anyone have information on - what is going on with him. He is not in squad for the next game and not even mentioned as an 'out'. Just seems to be a ghost. It's strange. Off contract in June 2023 with practically nothing to show for it - performance wise. Surely he would be competitive for a spot on the bench? Also theoharous both left to Europe to Early I’m surprised he’s nowhere to be seen given he looked lively on the few occasions when he has played and Adisu Bayew who’s ahead of him in the pecking order hasn’t really impressed me when I’ve seen him.

He’s behind Doumbia, Kilkenny, Lustica and Bozinovski in the pecking order so only gets called up to the extended squad when there’s injuries.

+xA league debut 5 years ago and since then has played around 25 professional games it seems. Injury aside just underwhelming and can't seem to click into gear. Wonder how he would be now had he played 5 years through A League and not has the injury misfortune. Shhhhhh dont say another word, he may be must the player Arnie is looking for, for the Soceroos.

It already looks a bad move, to think he was at one of the best football schools in the world last year...happens to many with our young players sadly.

+x+xGood on rudan. He is a coach that has showed he will give youth a chance with singh and cacace in Wellington. If he’s not got the right attitude then he deserves to sit on the bench. Benched Singh for Burgess and next minute he was picked up by Bayern Munich, so not sure Rudan always gets this right. Not sure if the timings but isn’t that what usually happens when a club knows a player is likely to leave?

+x+xIf the reason is his attitude, I think it’s a great move by Rudan and not reward such behavior. The true test for a player of his age is to learn from this and use it as motivation to improve. Too many examples of players over the years that haven’t adapted to situations like this well so it’s not the first time and won’t be the last if it is in fact the case for him. All out west podcast has Paquali injured. He picked iit up representing Australia's Olyroos. Don't sweat it. But wu havent said he is injured. Something is up and neither club nor seb are saying anything

+xLet me guess he came back to the hal with a chip on his shoulder because he played in europe. Reminds me of theo markelis if that's the case. If seb isnt too careful he'll end up in the npl. thats infuriating.

"Western United has brought in some intriguing names for their first season as an A-League club, but one of their most exciting recruits has completely fallen off the radar. Former Melbourne Victory and Ajax prospect Sebastian Pasquali has not featured in the expansion side's first two games, nor has he been included in their squad to face Melbourne City on Sunday in the club's first 'derby' of sorts.
It's not because of injury. A source with knowledge of the situation has informed The Hairdryer that Pasquali, 19, is simply out of favour with coach Mark Rudan, who is said to be dissatisfied by his training performances and off-field application. Western United has not responded to a request for clarification. Let's hope Pasquali gets himself back in Rudan's good books soon - most observers reckon he has the potential to become a rusted-on Socceroo, but clearly needs to match it with the desire."

It's almost as if a couple of nice turns in a friendly 2 years ago doesn't automatically mean you will be a starter at any club in the world.

Ajax only need to hit the jackpot with a fat transfer fee about once every five years to make their massive academy system turn a profit.
