Hoole to Edgeworth. Perfect example of a talented footballer being held back by his poor attitude.

Santalab scores in the first half of his NPL sojourn.. Leijer has been taken to the Hospital with what looked like a nasty head collision.
EDIT: Valeri on a yellow.

Now that Hannover have their new manager and director, it kills me to see the blindness of their scouting department. I teach one of the assistants and often here how small their network is.
They moan about not being able to find a centre back. Why not approach Sainsbury for a loan? They complain they've lost Bebou to Hoffenheim. How about looking at Mabil who has many similarities? They've crying out for a young, classy midfielder. There's this guy called Riley McGree who'd have decent potential.
Will all signings be successful? Of course not! It's just frustrating that Hannover have essentially ignored the Australian and South American regions for their recruitment. The last Aussie at Hannover was Frank Juric.

Schwaab is leaving PSV.
What he will do next season is not yet known. It seems logical that he is aiming for a German or Swiss club, where names such as Greuther Fürth, SC Freiburg or FC Basel are conceivable. PSV, with Derrick Luckassen, Trent Sainsbury, Nick Viergever and Armando Obispo, still have enough defenders in the short term, but will in any case attract a newcomer. In many media the name of the Mexican Edson Álvarez (21) from Club América falls, but it is currently considered too expensive.

Comparing Bebou and Mabil. Bebou is a player with huge potential and Mabil’s ceiling is probably a bottom tier top 5 league club. These clubs have incredibly detailed scouting structures. Don’t pretend there’s some sort of conscious bias involved.

A lot of clubs do have decent scouting. Hannover on the other hand would have to be one of the worst. The number of people I've spoken to at the club about it confirm that they barely know who are out there. It appears agents do a lot of pitching as well.

I think he's taking a big risk staying at PSV. We've got some depth in the centre of defense, if he's not getting gametime he could lose his spot in the Socceroos. However if he pulls it off he'll be one of the first selected. Could go either way

He's talented but hasn't enjoyed his football in a while and it shows.

Here is the thing, the players the scouts find don't deliver. Which multi are you? You surely can't be a real person who genuinely completely disagrees with everything I post.

I’m with you John. I think in the right environment rogic can be world class. Australian players are definitely capable of being world class, a player doesn’t have to be a Brazilian or playing for Real Madrid to be considered world class.
Some me of the bashing of Aussie football on here is extraordinary

Some me of the bashing of Aussie football on here is extraordinary By all means nationality isn't the basis of a good footballer. Nevertheless we use it often to gauge how the player might be. We look for trends and use that to weigh up how we judge players. The reason I support our players so much is because I aspire for us to achieve what Johnny Warren set out for us to do. We're going to fail at times and it's very frustrating. We're in better stead than the Holger days and there are some exciting players coming through. If players are good enough, they'll get selected. If not, work on it until they hopefully do.

Hardly a surprise, his EPL days are clearly over. Probably could find him self a gig somewhere over there, perhaps a lower Championship club, for a year before coming back to Australia.

Akbari is back at Brisbane Roar, they have also signed Dauntae Mariner who was recently at a training camp for a New Zealand underage team prior to being in Portugal for a few years, but was born in Sydney.

Wish the Mariners could have lured Akbari, is Dauntae Mariner signed to your NPL side or to a full contract?

I'm assuming he'll be on a Youth deal, but I have no doubt he'll be pushing for senior game time.

It is amazing he has kept it together for the NT for so long.

Personally I do hope he leaves Celtic. He’s proved all he can there. Time for a new challenge.

Yeah definitely time for Rogic to move on, he has achieved all that can be achieved in Scottish football and will only get better as a player if he is challenged week in week out.
