Western United are the first side to release their kit for next season. I actually like their home kit while their away kit looks like a shitty rip off of Nigeria's World Cup kit.

Really like these kits. Especially that away. Hopefully they secure some sponsors which actually fit into the overall look of the kit.

Kind of surprised they went with that away kit. Everything else they have done from the name to the colours to the logo has been dull, predictable and uninspiring. I actually don't mind it. I get that it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I wish more clubs would take the opportunity to explore more unique designs for their away kits.

The home kit looks great. The best you can say for the away kit is that it's noticeable (read ugly).

The 'away' kit is apparently their third kit
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

+xThe 'away' kit is apparently their third kit I actually wonder if the reason they are calling it the alternative rather than away kit in the media so they can get a bit of free market research and see what the general public have to say. They would have known it would be a divisive design, so rather than commit to it being the away kit now they will just call it an alternative kit for now and if public opinion is positive they will then decide to use it for the away kit down the line.

I think my understanding of it will be, they will always wear their home kit, unless it clashes, then they will wear the other one. I mean, I know it's generally how most football teams wear their away kit, but I've noticed in NPL here in Canberra (and the A-League in the early years, and also some teams in the NRL and AFL), wear an away kit for ALL away games, unless the away kit clashes with the other teams home kit

+xInteresting to see Under Armour move into licensed sports apparel. Genuinely interested to see what they come up with. Will this be the first team kit they will design? If so they'll essentially be starting on a blank canvas, unlike the major kit manufactures who tend to just use one of their templates when designing a league kits.

As a club what is more important to MV - having navy and white or having a V on the kit? if it’s colours I would do simple WBA kind with white dominating. If it’s the V then like has been mentioned previously

I actually like it, I think the silver and the white play well together just like our (and the A-League's) first away kit. The blue on the yoke makes me wonder if there'll still be a clash against other blue teams.

It's okay. A little plain.
With sponsors it may jazz it up a little, as long as they fit into the overall aesthetic.

Do not like the away going by that picture.
Why do we persist with the v for the away kit? Or actually why couldn't our home kit go without it. Maybe just have 1 with a v, it's so restrictive in having something different.

Maybe just have 1 with a v, it's so restrictive in having something different. I agree. The home kit is always going to have a traditional (for the club) design. The away kit should be an opportunity to experiment and do something creative. Unlike the home kit, the away kit design isn't constrained by as many rules. They can really do anything they want. Why not be creative. There is nothing wrong with this away kit, it's just boring.

Not sure if that is the final kit. Paladin had been strongly rumoured to be the new kit supplier and that a kit will be available for the FFA cup game with a final design for the season released later. Supposedly that design is referencing the Football Kingz's first kit 20 years ago.

So far everything SFC UA related (trackies, hoodies) looks neat so hopefully the jersey matches the expectation. No jersey can please all. UA is a bit of a tighter fit so the 120kg uni students in the Cove might have to start dieting and training soon.

With Bulls coming in next season imo SFC & WSW should wear black and white as away strips. You cant steal from a club that has never played a game nor think they can reserve colours. WSW black hoops with white (no red or blue like pic) SFC black white stripes with sky blue trim

I’ve spoken to DP on this and “sometime soon” has never been mentioned to me so he’s probably been misquoted. My guess is they’ll wait for the FFA Cup result vs SFC before deciding a date as they’ll want to do the launch with a game somewhere. there is s Fan Forum tonight and the stream should be on https://m.facebook.com/roarsupporters/?tsid=0.4406192624251104&source=resultfrom about 7PM - the kit launch question has already been asked so let’s see what he says

I’ve spoken to DP on this and “sometime soon” has never been mentioned to me so he’s probably been misquoted. My guess is they’ll wait for the FFA Cup result vs SFC before deciding a date as they’ll want to do the launch with a game somewhere. there is s Fan Forum tonight and the stream should be on https://m.facebook.com/roarsupporters/?tsid=0.4406192624251104&source=resultfrom about 7PM - the kit launch question has already been asked so let’s see what he says Tweet from him on July 1st that I was going off: "We’re currently contracted with Retail Group who has the licence with Umbro. New kitssss to be released soon...." https://twitter.com/DRPourre/status/1145620772234285057 Refer back to my previous post guys. A mate who runs Roar Fans in Sydney asked DP about this and mentioned there's a 50/50 chance they'll be available before August 7th AKA FFA Cup game. Available to buy? Or just announced/revealed? I believe it's just launched. He assured him they'll be available before FIFA 20 is out haha

Under Armour have done some nice kits for Spurs. Hopefully they'll bring the goods for us.
I'm really impressed with both of the Western United kits. They look beautiful.

Don’t like the mono-brow line on each shirt, spoils it for me but that’ll be a personal preference no doubt. Datk blue looks excellent, line aside.

Very boring looking kit. This season's Sydney derby will be played by our most dull kits from either club in my opinion.

Home - not a fan. Navy blue line is unnecessary
Away - white, boring. But a decent design. Nice collar
Third - best of the lot, navy works and I like the mono look

Navy is the best one but i wish they had kept a touch of orange from years ago. Why do they appear cheap? Particularly the white one?
I hope victory do something better then the crap that's been leaked... or at least someone does something crazy, at least try.

Hmm. I do like the shade of sky blue they've used. It's a bit closer to the old 2012-13 Del Piero-era Adidas colour, which I loved. I also like that they tried to use the Opera House tile pattern although I'm not sure they pulled it off. The "moustache" just doesn't work though.
The Navy Blue one I think looks the best.

+xThe 3rd kit is charcoal, not navy blue. Either the photographer or someone in the SFC marketing and design department needs to invest in a decent monitor or at least a proper calibrator. If that third kit is meant to be charcoal, the colour profile they are using is way off.

Why do so many A League clubs keep serving up white away kits? And away kits don't have to contain exactly the same colours as home kits.
Show some imagination, FFS.

But they already have designs, or already do design using white. Use the designs they already have but use some colour. How difficult would it be, for example, than to take Perth's existing white away strip and change the colours to all gold.

You’re spot on although that doesn’t explain why they’re white - they could equally be grey, yellow, blue etc ... some teams seem seem to like white away kits is the answer to white imo.

Jesus, imagine being so desperate to get one over Sydney that you hijack a thread in a futile (and incorrect) attempt to prove that their 3rd kit might be a similar colour to your team's.
I guess if my team lost a semi-final 6-1 to our biggest rivals I'd take it pretty badly, but I wouldn't be behaving this embarrassingly.

So still waiting on (not counting third/event/alternate kits):
Adelaide - home Brisbane - home/away CCM - home/away MV - Home?/Away NJ - new kits? WSW - away Phoenix - home/away
Correct me if I’m wrong.

They always keep a kit for two seasons and alternate changes each season. This season they will change the away kit only and next season they will change the home kit only.

But you can briefly/kinda see it in the video at the bottom of this article: https://www.melbournevictory.com.au/news/victory-releases-new-adidas-away-kit-201920The back looks to be all grey. I didn't like this kit at first glance, but it's grown on me in a short time after looking at it more. And the retro factor is pretty sweet. I wish there was a bit less navy though, I don't love our recent tendency of including lots of navy in the away kits.

I don't think that's the actual kit. The post just said that CCM were going to unveil a new kit and then posted a picture of a random kit with a CCM logo photoshopped on.

Home - nice, keeping clean for a new sponsor? Black away - little bland but will look good as a full kit. Do they have to go full heat seal on the sponsor? White away - very very nice. Could have got a smaller size though to fit the player better haha

That home kit is the kind that would look great without a sponsor. Obviously they never used to have them but after being so used to it it seems strange not to... but some work well without the sponsors.

I don't actually mind the actual FFA Cup kit that Simon is wearing. Nice to see them pay homage to the old Coasties Kits.

Mariners home kit appears to be based off a similar design to the FFA Cup kit, according to a design inside the membership pack. https://mobile.twitter.com/Aussiespur/status/1167274855009439744Not sure how to link images from Twitter on mobile. The shirt features a predominantly yellow shirt with two navy stripes on the right of the jersey (similar position to the red stripe on the FFA Cup kit). Darker yellow stripes on the left and sleeves. I’ll take a punt and say the away will be an inverse design with a predominant navy replacing the yellow and yellow stripes replacing the navy stripes. The pink kit will no doubt be the same as the home with pink replacing the yellow. An official reveal can’t be far off.

Jets kits look great!! Black one is a little boring in comparison, but the home and white kits are so fantastic that it makes sense to have a more plain third kit.
How come Victory doesn't have a third kit? Or is that the FFA Cup kit?

+xI thought the polka dot / circle one was a pisstake?! Apparently not. Terrible. This article gives a bit more info. The polka dot kit was from 1998, which makes sense! Yes it's truly terrible, but so were many kits from the 90's! The kit Matt Simon is wearing is actually quite nice. Better pics of it in the article: https://www.ccmariners.com.au/news/mariners-launch-coasties-inspired-ffa-cup-kit

Inspirations paint logo just ruins the jets kits, the sponsor can make or break a kit, that kit matt simon is wearing is dope as hell, sponsor blends in with the kit.

Inspirations Paint logo is pretty big hey...but I think with the away kit they've done pretty well considering how big that logo is, to incorporate it and I like how they leave some white space between the diagonal sash and the sponsor logo.

Just not sure about the sleeve on the Mariners shirts. Seems like someone just wasn’t comfortable without putting something flash in there?

Why is that their third kit and not their away kit? Oh that's right, they seem to enjoy alienating their own fans.
