+x+xAll signs point to him getting a shot at 1st team football. Lol He's with the first team while the rest of the reserves are playing in div 3 and he's getting solid minutes, he's at least a chance.

+x+xAll signs point to him getting a shot at 1st team football. Lol Haters gonna hate. There's a reason why he was taken even though Bayern Munich II starts their season while they're on tour, and most other youth prospects have been left behind. Give him a year to bulk up a bit and be in this environment and who knows what he will do.

Match highlights, Singh wearing number 42 in Bayern's red home kit from half time onwards: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBnvDdiMLPYGetting in the right areas it seems, although I noticed him the most when it looked like he was asking Lewandowski for his autograph when he celebrated the goal lol

Personally I think he's not going to be near the first team, but even still, it's a great achievement and step. Imagine how surreal that would've been for him.
Best of luck to him.

Credit where credit is due it is a great move for the kid - Gotta game against Arsenal so you never know but he has a long way to go if he wants BM 1st team bench let alone making an appearance

There's a vid on you tube that is just all his possessions vs arsenal. Fair to say almost all passing backwards and mistakes. A couple of glimpses though, hopefully playing in the 3rd div will get him used to a higher level of intensity as he clearly struggled with that.

Turned the ball over a number of times in a game that was being played at a walking pace, then proceeded to pass the ball back to it's origin immediately upon receiving it for the rest of the game. He looked out of place and is nowhere near the level required, which is not at all surprising and nothing to be ashamed of.

Will be a good 3-5 years before he was ready for that level, if ever. Probably just shopping him around a bit with a view to selling or getting him loaned out.

He looked okay. Was way too eager to make the safe passes backwards and had a few very cheap turnovers. Yes, he had a few decent moments (as should literally any footballer who is playing at that level), but definitely didn't do enough to really impress. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play with the first 11 again. Just don't think he's at that level.

And it was his first performance at this level; he was obviously a bit nervous. Reckon considering he only landed there a month or so ago and has had maybe 2 training sessions with them, it was fucking fantastic. Jeez you guys like cutting players down eh. Dream a little. I see you didn't mention his pass to Coman which split the lines and led to the equaliser.

I see you didn't mention his pass to Coman which split the lines and led to the equaliser. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwD7S29JcS4There were a couple of times in the opening 30 seconds of that video where an obvious passing option was available. The first time he ended up pumping it long, the second time he goes for a risky pass back to the mid-third (ignoring a forward run and losing the momentum). On both occasions, he's very fortunate that an Arsenal player gets the slightest of touches on it to win the throw in. Please tell me where I "cut him down". Singh is an excellent player and I wish him all the best (and I hope he proves me wrong). All I said is that he probably didn't do enough to really put a forward a strong case as to why he should be playing in the top flight with the first team. Yeah it was a nice pass, but it was one moment in a game (and it's not as if it was an assist - the eventual goal came a good 4 or 5 passes later). If you look it from the gaffer's point of view, every player on their books can hit that pass. He's gotta make a more lasting impact and do something pretty special if they're really going to take notice. But unfortunately, he spent most of the match returning the ball to sender.

Not sure what others think but he did seem a tad nervous out there, often than he had a few heavy first touches which you try to avoid that top level as everyone has cleaner first touches.
He did make a couple of nice forward passes along the way but his touch was the problem here not his intention to play backwards.
Anyway I wish him all the best and I hope he kills it over there, what an awesome opportunity for the lad!

Yep he looked alright this time around. The confidence will build, the first couple of months would be so intense and a set back in that time can really kill a career. Brillante when he was at fiorentina comes to mind. Hoping he keeps getting the chances and he succeeds.

Guy has barely been there a month - has probably had a total of 5 training sessions; he's doing really well. He's obviously not physically at the same level as the other guys who have been using Bayern's facilities for a while, but he's competing despite that.

Hope he doesn’t do a Brillante, gee what a missed opportunity that was for Josh.
When the season starts he won’t be starting for them but I won’t surprise me if he makes the bench, that’s itself would be a great effort considering the great quality Bayern have.

Yep. A better performance from Singh. Showed a fair bit more and had some meaningful possessions (looked afraid to even touch the ball against Arsenal). Needs to keep showing what he can really do if he's to have any chance of playing with the first 11 throughout the regular season. Personally I still think he's probably just a little bit below the level required (which is no disgrace, the talent in that Bayern team is just insane), but as I said before I'm very happy to be proven wrong.

Nobody is denying he is a good player. He is nowhere near Bayern standard though. Not even close. A few friendly appearances mean little. Just look a Brillante: started basically every single friendly then was absolutely out of his depth when faced with the intensity of Serie A and was pulled in his first match after 30 minutes.

I guess the point is - what is the point of your post? Off course we know its a stretch but why focus on the negative? You don't have to be nostradamus to know his chances may not be high. having said that what an amazing opportunity and you know what - some players take very little to get comfortable and excel no matter what level. Good luck to him.

I watched that game from starting to finish sadly :( Was so dissapointing when he got pulled. I bet he has had continual nightmares of that game (PTSD). Arnie probably nurtured him back to some sort of actual confidence out there on the pitch. Come to think of it, you wonder how he was ever a RB with that motor, he's so slow and you would wonder why he was ever put in that position in the first place.

The point is he's getting opportunities that not many others in the reserve team are getting, no one is expecting him to be ready for first team football right now (including Beyern Munich who signed him to the reserve team) but he signed with them less than three weeks ago so must be doing something right to be given the opportunities that he's been given. He's clearly got potential and who knows where he'll be in a season or two. Another ex Phoenix player Tyler Boyd just signed a multi-million dollar contract with Besiktas J.K. in Turkey and has even made it into the starting lineup for the US in the gold cup. He left the nix as a fringe first team player and no one really gave him much hope of achieving what he's achieved but he's excelled in the Premiera Liga in Portugal and Super Lig in Turkey.
