Run rate up over 4 now. Australia should go at 5 to 6 an over for 15 overs tops and declare or get bowled out

Given how aussie respect milestones we probably don't declare until Paine gets 50 and wade gets 100
So England can do us a favor and get Paine out for 40

He has had plenty of rest and will only need to bowl 16 odd overs max

+xNew ball strikes. Smith out for a magnificent, probably winning century Australia will want another 60 here Not sure Patto will have much gas in the tank in the second innings?

One of the rare times two Tassie batters are batting together.
They come from the same school, suburb and street!

A cameo 25-30 from Paine or any of the tail would break England's hearts here

Good review!
I thought the ball from Broad was too high for an LBW against Wade.

When it hits 250 let's lift the scoring rate

I’m getting great pleasure watching the Poms chasing leather!
It hasn’t happened enough in this game.

+x+xI’m enjoying a team I support, winning for a change! 200 lead!! that is the hard part done. Now build and build. 300 not out of question now. Hard to believe isn't it, Baggers? Considering we've been behind and losing in just about the whole Test so far.

I know we have faced part times but we have gotten into this position with a cracking run rate

Right 10 overs before the 2nd new ball we would like 40 runs

Australia looking slightly more aggressive. Good idea to get to safety before the 2nd new ball

Poms 4-251.
161 Aussie lead with 6 wickets in hand.
As long as these two stay there, things are looking a bit better for us.

+x+x+x+xHead really struggling - some good pace bowling from Broad. Broad has broadened (scuse pun) his repertoir over the years. He used to be rather one dimensional.. now throws in cross seamers, scrambled seamers.. leg cutters and can swing it. Makes him a very clever and dangerous bowler. Blokes like Hazlewood cud do well to follow his lead.. when conditions dont suit his bowling. I know what leg cutters are. What does a scrambled seam and a cross seam do to ball trajectory, Baggers? Cross seam usually makes the ball jump from a good length. White ballers use it often. Scrambled prob does the same. Thanks, Baggers.

Wonder why Woakes can bowl now, but not the first session?

+xGosh you don't forgive easy decentric! It was a year ban for an infringement that normally Carrie's a 1 match suspension! Remind me never to cross you! Haha Ha ha! It is not so much a question of availability for selection after ball tampering, but leadership of a team. I couldn't believe that Smith, Bancoft and Warner thought at the time that cheating was no big deal - just they got caught. The two leaders supposed to be leading the team and setting the example cheated, which was a shocking example.
