I have already proved beyond doubt  that I am the best at tipping on here.
Playing or not playing this year does not change that fact.
Nobody else will ever win 4 tipping competitions in a row.

btw - I am not a Troisi fan. He is a frustrating guy. Can be good and can be poor. Happy for him to leave MV.

If no one else is in  I win, you lose :)

but if I am in it everyone (except me) loses.

I tried to drum up some competition but most just like to talk big and and not back it up with skill or knowledge.

I HAVE an idea i saw a league reddit use.

it's called knockout ou have 3 lives you have to pick a team if they win you win if they lose you lose a life.

who manages the lives , is it done manually or using a website like footy tips

Same as last year, points for a correct pick, first past the post, no joker , it caused an upset. A couple years ago 😂

I will give myself a handicap to make it more interesting.
Before Round 1, I tipped the entire season all the way to Round 27.
How about I stick with those tips (unchanged) and you guys can change yours.
Should make it a more even contest rather than me just running away with it.

Have never really bet in my life but I am thinking about it.
Kind of why I have done the tipping the last few years.
If I do well this year will bet something like $100 each week next season.
Just need 1 more year to prove I really am good enough to turn it into a profitable venture.

Odds of winning a tipping comp with 12 people = 1/12 = 8.33%
Odds of winning 2 such comps in a row = 1/12 * 1/12 = 1/144 = 0.69%
Odds of winning 3 in a row = 1/12 * 1/12 * 1/12 = 1/1728 = 0.05%
Odds of winning 4 in a row = 1/12 * 1/12 * 1/12 * 1/12 = 1/20736 = Something close to impossible.

Now folks this is what I have already achieved.
And this is why I know I have more knowledge than all of you put together when it comes to the A league.

And now I am looking good for a fifth.

Do not let me win again.

what are you ranked overall on the whole website? 

Number 1 I would think if you did all 5 comps combined.
Anybody can win a one off tipping comp. That does not really prove much. Just that you had a good run.
Winning 2, 3, 4 ... etc (even if using a  much much smaller pool of people) says a lot more about your ability.
It is like making a multi bet all at long odds and it coming in. You need to have skill rather than luck.

FTBLTippingLadder: Season

Better than anybody on this site.
The skill is not how you do in 1 year.
The skill is doing well every year.
I am 4 from 4 and in with a great chance of 5 from 5.
Odds of doing that are longer than 1/10*1/10*1/10*1/10*1/10. So better than 1 in 100,000.

So yeap I am the G.O.A.T. as nobody will every win 4 in a row on this site. I may not win this year but do you think anybody else will ever get 4 in a row?

I am Bluey on the tipping site, I am in other tipping comps and thats my nickname.  I have been a member of the forum tipping comp since it was started by Stifflers Mom.  Its a bit of fun.  

On your estimation of the probabilities of winning each year.  If the pool of tippers stays the same, as it does with the members of this comp, year on year, your probability of repeating the result is actually quite high and no where near the long odds you quote.  Probabilities for random results is significantly different from skill based forecasting.  Its a bit like the golden boot in the Aleague.  If you win it one year, you have a much higher probability of winning the next year, over say another player who may be a goal keeper.  In fact the FTBL is a lot more skewed than that.  There are lots of strikers in the HAL and they come and go and may get injured.  In the FTBL the tippers stay largely the same, so on balance the results should stay largely the same.  Which explains why I came second several years in a row to the same guy Milan7.  Although I do agree 5 from 5 would be a relatively excellent result, albeit in a small field and importantly we arent playing for money.

The leagues have all had more than 10 (except maybe the woman world cup). So my odds estimate is actually lower than what I have achieved. My results are more like 1 in 150,000. 
And your results are a couple of seconds from more attempts?
Not very impressive for somebody who has the cheek to have a go at my results. Perhaps best just to bow to the  smartest person on here rather than  to have a go at the G.O.A.T. 
But hey at least you have been trying. That is better than most of the wimps on this site who think they know something but are too afraid to put there name on the tipping. What gutless wonders they all are!
