This game has banana peel written all over it. I'm expecting a draw or a narrow loss after they score a goal, close up shop and we can't break them down.

I think Arnold will play a 4231 in this match so i expect we will line up:
--------------------------------Ryan-------------------------------- Grant------------Sains--------------Degenek-------------Behich ----------------------Jeggo---------Mooy-------------------------- ------------------------------Irvine-------------------------------------- Leckie------------------------------------------------------------Ikon -----------------------------Taggart-----------------------------------
I'd only make a few changes to that lineup. That being id put Leckie into right wing back partly because i dont think he offers enough in attack over other players we have available and partly to cover the quick counter attacks of Jordan. Much the same on the other side based on form Smith over Behich. I think an argument could also be made for Luongo over Mooy just for mobility and a bit more muscle but im not sure how his injury is going.
On the right I think Hrustic is in good form to replace Leckie. I'd also like to fit McGree in there somewhere but i think he would have to settle for a bench role in this match.

Have faith in Arnie. Even he can get this result.

Wonder if Souttar will be selected/start? Also if Ikon will return? Hrustic deserves a start

+xDoes anyone know what day or date Jordan squad is announced? My friend. This is the FFA, you won’t know until 5 minutes before. I’ve been banging on about it for months. No transparency

+xSo what’s the secret with the squad, what’s going on? IN a week the Socceroos will be playing away to Jordan, what is with this unprofessionalism of not announcing a squad yet, even NSL did this better. What did Jim Richards call the crowd when he won the bathurst car race and they boowed him, many years ago??

Aren't there FIFA cut off dates for squad announcements?

+xAren't there FIFA cut off dates for squad announcements? My guess is the squad would have been lodged with FIFA already but the FFA have taken advice from overpaid PR gurus to stagger their announceables this week so as not to crowd the positive news around the equal pay issue.

Reports in that Rogic will return. Smith apparently won't make it as there's a very important Seattle game. According to 442
LIKELY SOCCEROOS SQUAD: Ryan Langerak Redmayne
Grant Wright Sainsbury Milligan Degenek Souttar Behich
Mooy Rogic Irvine Luongo Hrustic Jeggo Amini
Leckie Mabil Borrello Boyle Giannou Taggart
I mean this is 'likely' I suppose Milligan will offer leadership but he shouldn't be playing. Wright is very lucky as Susnjar had a stellar season. Redmayne should stay in Sydney and Fed should be 3rd for this camp.
That's risky as hell letting Behich start. What a shame Elder won't come in. I can't see, however, Arnie risking it with one LB in camp.
Luongo is in doubt and Rogic isn't playing tonight so we may see two late withdrawals. Irvine Hrustic and Mooy are worth their weight in gold currently. Amini is fortunate as is Borrello. Boyle has warranted a call up while it's annoying that Ikon will miss out.
How I want to see Arzani, Ikon, Hrustic and Rogic on a pitch together.

FFA Media15 mins ago Caltex Socceroos Head Coach Graham Arnold today announced the twenty-four players that have been selected to represent Australia for the team’s fourth match on the road to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. Australia will play Jordan in Amman next Thursday (local time), and Arnold has selected a slightly extended squad for the fixture in the Middle East as Hertha Berlin ace Mathew Leckie awaits the birth of his second child.Australia’s squad to play Jordan at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman next week features the return to national team action for Scotland-based attacking duo Tom Rogic and Martin Boyle, Western United defender Josh Risdon, respected defender Trent Sainsbury, experienced goalkeeper Adam Federici, as well as emerging Barnsley FC midfielder Kenny Dougall.“There are a few minor injury issues with some players who were part of our successful October window – including Mark Milligan, Jamie Maclaren, and Mustafa Amini – so we felt it was important to select players that physically will hit the ground running in Amman,” Arnold explained.

Squad is in.
Ryan Federici Redmayne
Grant Risdon Sainsbury Degenek Wright Souttar Behich Smith
Mooy Irvine Jeggo Rogic Hrustic Goodwin Dougall
Giannou Taggart Leckie Boyle Borrello Mabil
So Amini, Milligan, Langerak, Maclaren and Petratos out
Risdon, Boyle, Dougall, Sainsbury, Federici and Rogic in. One extra currently.

Goodwin is extremely fortunate. Amini and Luongo injury has removed a headache while thankfully Milligan sits it out and these players can lead themselves. Delighted for Dougall while Holland can feel unlucky. Borrello is the winner as Ikon misses out.
Please football God don't let Mary hurt his hand this weekend. Federici was in goal last time in Jordan while Redmayne is a bit of a worry in that atmosphere.

Ryan Grant Sainsbury Degenek Smith Mooy Leckie Irvine Rogic Boyle Taggart
Probably this. Maybe have Mabil run at them early for 55min or vice versa with Boyle? Boyle and Mabil will play.
As much as I want to see Souttar, experience is needed here. Hrustic will likely be on the bench. Irvine can't be dropped on current form. If I were to change anything I'd start Jeggo against Rogic.

Disappointed there is no Elder. Should be there ahead of Behich however can kind of understand opting for experience in such a big game. Hopefully Leckie can make it, whilst I would have loved to have seen McGree over Goodwin.
Interesting there is no Milligan. Dropped?

I'm not disappointed at all, if anything I'm over the moon at the number of names people are now throwing into the ring, the depth of finally coming through.

Elder, Ikon, McGree and espiecially Holland can feel hard done by particularly with Milligan and Amini back.
Tbh i personally think Brandon Oneill and Josh Brilliante are better than Jeggo and Amini

Needs to be said but no one has yet or will.... Leckie is lucky AF to be picked!!!!
Waaayyy down the pecking order at his club. Will barely play this season.
Borello, goodwin, donkey dougall, Leckie, Behich are all lucky. even rogic and boyle are lucky given they only just returned.
I would have picked Ruka over Borello, ikon over goodwin, holland over donkey dougall, Elder over Behich, Duke over Leckie, Mcgree over Boyle, maybe even DDS over Rogic. DDS been good so far this yr
