This is a site for Australia's Kangaroos/Junior Roos plus international Rugby League.
Our senior and Junior Roos put on a show at the 'Gong yesterday. The senior side, led inspiringly by Boyd Cordner revenged last years' loss by smacking the Kiwis 26-4. The best for the Roos were powerful teenage backrower Payne Haas who proved a handful for the Kiwi defense while Jake Turbo, Teddie, Frizell, Papali and Munster  were other standouts. Cherry-Evans does not have the creative skills and shud be canned for either Luke Keary, Kalyn Ponga, Mitchell Moses or Brady Croft. Ben Hunt is a waste of space. How he is considered a better dummy half than his Dragons team mate Cameron McInness is beyond me.

In the curtain raiser the Junior Roos absolutely blew a below strength France off the park with a scintillating display of skill and power. Again the powerful David Fifita took a power of stopping as did Bronco's prop Thomas Flegler. Kalyn Ponga showed his playmaking skills with four try assists a and was in everything. Other stand outs in the 10 try rout were Campbell Graham, Victor Radley, Zac Lomax, Ryan Papenhauzen and Brody Croft.

Roo's coach Mal Meninga has said that outstanding showings by the Junior Roos may open the door for a Kangaroo cap against Tonga next week in NZ. I can see trio Ponga and Fifita as leading the way for a Test debut in Auckland. Other possibilities are goal kicking centre Lomax, Radley, Croft and Graham.

Our women the Jillaroos also accounted for the Kiwi women.

Australia rugby League is in good hands.

Mal meninga has added rookie Victor Radley and Cameron Murray to the Kangaroos squad to take on Tonga next week. Hot property David Fifita missed selection after copping an accidental face full of French sprigs. I do question Mal why Junior Roos playmaker Kalyn Ponga did not make the squad. He was outstanding against the French while the Kangaroo halves Cherry-Evans and Hunt were oh so ordinary.
