Anyone else not impressed with this membership vs season ticket malaki The only people protected from the rain are those in the upper tier and from about row U in the middle tier. However you won't have the sun in your eyes or be baked to a crisp on 35+ degree days. :d Personally I think the season ticket vs membership is a bit of a money grab from loyal supporters, but I may be barking up the wrong tree and it may turn out fine. Just wait and see I suppose That's fine....I don't mind the rain but not good for us glasses wearing folk

Been plenty of discussion regarding memberships vs season tickets already. Both sides of the 'money grab' argument have valid points. All I can do is to speak for myself - I was happy to renew my season ticket, and I am happy to purchase a membership too. I saw it as a choice and I took it up to help the club financially. Who knows, I might not get many extra benefits at all, but I've received 2 free tickets to those pre-season games which in essence brought my membership down to only ~35 bucks. With the club purchasing the Veneto Club (or Reds Centre), members may initially have exclusive access to it, but we'll see.

Just like you DON'T HAVE TO be a Gold season ticket holder, you DON'T HAVE TO be a member. They stated that pretty clearly (well to me, anyway) as part of the season ticket sales. There are still a few kinks to be ironed out but they'll work on it between now and next season. Some problems raised have already been addressed, namely that season tickets and memberships will be advertised together next season, and not staggered like it was this season.

So is Errea suppling any other merchandise apart from the kits? I know, it's probably a bit premature to ask given the season hasn't started yet, but the online store only has the kits up at the moment.
I'm assuming they would.

Levchenko and Malik will not play CB unless we've run out of options. At the moment we have a fit Mullen, McKain and Susak who can all play CB, so there's no shortage there.

I was happy to become a member, what with priority days to purchase finals tickets ( and hopefully ACL tickets ) it was worth it for me. Voting was another thing I may use, but in truth I'm happy to leave that to the board - it just gives me more of a feeling of being important to the club I support. Of course no-one likes paying extra or price hikes, but as RU said it's your own choice what you want to do.

With Boogaard to return from injury and Golec available as well. I don't think we'll be seeing Lev or Ozzie playing CB this season.

There is so much coverage available this season that I just cannot understand how Rini is going to make his choices for game day - the only players who I can see being left out are those who are injured.

Just listened to the two interviews our boys did yesterday, or should I say listened to one interview and was unable to get past the first 4 minutes of the other. OMG but 5AA are bad... so very, very bad.

Cornesy was so disrespectful... seriously. Kudos to Zenon and Lev who stood their ground regarding "football".

Bit of a funny fella, he is - will probably get invited back. Definitely a much more interesting pair than any meat-heads playing AFL.

TBH Cornes was a complete fuckwit, as were a couple of the callers. I don't know how anyone could listen through a whole show of his crap. Zenon did well. I think Lev will need to learn quickly how to deal with Aussie bogans.

They actually had a good chat and weren't trying to push an agenda unlike Cornes and the bloke with the really, really, really annoying voice.

Just listened to both interviews. Cornes. You are an imbicile. What's with the pointless arguements about soccer vs football. Just agree to disagree and move on. And who were those callers? Asking about throw ins? WTF? Don't they screen them? Or are the people screening just as bad perhaps? Very disrespectful. Such a shame. But props to the two players, they did themselves, the game and the club proud.
Lev "how can you call it football when you are always using your hands?" haha GOOD LAD!!

The person that asked about throw ins that was me. It was a legitimate question. Sorry that I haven't followed the world game since birth. The whole throw in argument is a complete pet hate of mine about players legitimately cheating. I see it every home game where I sit. I just wanted clarification on the rules.

BTW if you thought Cornes was a disgrace Wednesday night you should have listen on Tuesday night with Simon Hill. He was more disrespectful regarding the A-league launch and how Fox sports news was going on about it all day.. So with the AFL launch we have to hear that for a whole month but the A-league can't get one full day to celebrate their launch.

That guy oozes class over those peasants. He surely would put them in their place every time, no doubt.

If you're buying online it's difficult because they don't actually say 'away support'. I found it by selecting the cheapest seat in the reserved section and selecting best available and it put me in the away section. You need bay E13 or E14. Edited by ducky42: 9/10/2011 01:36:44 PM
