Val's turned again. The guy should take up Olympic gymnastics. Or maybe just a course in anger management.

David Fucking Beckham!!!
As much as I doubt it will ever happen in a million years, I would heartily approve of this signing even though I don't like Beckham. Victory fans could no longer argue that tv ratings and crowds are because of the 'kewell effect' and instead it'd be Adelaide with the Beckham effect ;) Plus imagine the fucking hype, would be a wet dream come true for me to have the entire state talking about football and the A-League That said though, really doubt it's gonna happen :(

I'd rather Val went back to his insipid dribble about the coach's attitude towards player tattoos. If you cant provide a reasoned analysis of a topic, pick another topic. Wanker.

Cassio out for the season will be a blow if the worst comes true, no natural replacement in the squad atm.

Hopefully Val's alarmist headline turns out to be just that From Coolen unable to rule out a long term injury to an article that implies he WILL miss the whole season Love your work Val

I love my new hometown club of Adelaide United, I sit on wing, up the left side, and cheer the team to 'Hindmarsh' glory. After match, I go into town, and walk along King William Street, and hassle my countrymen who work in 24 hour convenience stores, for having to work on match day, but me, I no work at night, I attend football and be happy.

I would seriously love Adelaide to get into the ACL but won't be sad if it doesn't happen.
I'm more excited at the prospect of seeing 3 teams from the A-League all competing at once together. Can't help but root for the aussie teams during the ACL (Except Victory)

Cassio's foot injury could mean game over for season, and we let Norton go

also, even if we dont qualify, we get to go to the asian cup thing, against lesser rankede teams. so its a win-win situation. also we face teams from countries we havent really faced before.

I know we shouldn't get complacent, but if we don't make it to the group stage it would be considered a failure. The A-League is way ahead of Indonesia and Thailand when it comes to the quality on the pitch.

Can someone please post Adelaide's starting XI, including formation, when everyone is fit and available? i.e. including Van Dijk, Cassio etc

I've had it with Dilevski. Either the guy is playing stoned or he has some motor-neuron diseaes that impairs his reflexes. He has no ability to react. Can't pass and is one of those really annoying pricks who waves his arms and points to other players all the time. Shite.

I think he also has an inner-ear infection because something is affecting his ability to stand up, I think he must have caught it from Vidosic... :-"

Barbiero, Ricardo and Malik all played well off the bench. Crowd loves the local lads too.

Give him starts for about 5 games and no doubt you'll see a better player. Dilevski is a waste of space IMO and should be replaced, we've got Malik and Barbiero who could take his place, ( local lads that grew up playing in Adelaide ).

Attention: Adelaide united football club
I'm a paid up member and gold season ticket holder and win lose or draw I will support this club through thick and thin but the communication your giving your fans and supporters is a lot to be desired.
On your website for the W-league match it clearly stated that Adelaide season ticket holders get in for free and then when we rocked up at hindmarsh we were them told that this doesn't apply only for a-league and youth league games.
I'm not fussed about paying five bucks to watch the lady reds but the fact that it stated that season ticket holders get in for free and then no follow up letter to say that's not correct is not good.
Adelaide united lift your game and communicate with the fans better if you truly want to make this club a powerhouse.

Oh wow, I didn't realise that. I forgot my season ticket when I went to work this morning so paid the 5 bucks. Email Matt Rossi about it. The membership committee meets on Monday night.

I didn't pay the five bucks considering 10 other people said the same thing we went in for free showed them the website that it says that but will be emailing the club tomorrow

But the women's team is run by FFSA and not United. I can't see that Matt Rossi can help you guys, but as RU said they're meeting they may be able to work something out.
