It seems like people who intend on renewing their memberships are in the vast minority for next season. This is so sad!

I to will not be renewing unless the club mends alot of fences. Its all been said before but im just sick of feeling like the club is smiling at us while giving us the middle finger under the desk.

Ill still goto some home games, but will not be investing in away travel, memberships etc

Its so sad that people who i have enjoyed reading their posts and blogs about AUFC for many years are all singing the same tune as me. The passion has well and truly evaporated.

Fair enough but let's not forget that things like Vidmar's rant and capitulating 6-0 and job losing rants were not under the current board/owners.
Things have stunk "back-stage" at the club for a lot longer than these current owners. I'm not defending them, just adding a little perspective.

Coolen is a fuck who was naively given complete CONTROL by the board to gutfuck Adelaide United into Coolen United... and it failed horribly. Absolutely horribly. I am glad they fired him.

John Kosmina took over, turned things around... stated at Hindmarsh live to the crowd that "it's starting to feel like Adelaide United again"... and then a few months later bailed on us. All that shit about playing for the shirt went out the door. In his resignation letter he talked about men who whisper in coridoors or some rubbish like that, yet he didn't have the BALLS to NAME these men. So in actual fact, he became one of these allegded men. Spineless. And he still has the balls to write critical articles about McKain.

Good riddance to both Coolen and Kosmina.

You are right about Kosmina, I do think those allaged men would of been known by the board to - should of acted on them there and then not let them fester. I too would like to ask John why he is too spineless to name them

Oh well. At least now the season is over and i can focus my attention to more productive things lol

AWER Mabil is desperate to become a Manchester United star - it's a five-year plan, he says.

The Sudanese refugee's bid to join the biggest club on the planet started taking shape when he claimed his first major personal accolade - the national youth league player of the year - in Sydney on Monday night

But not one Adelaide United senior official was present when Mabil modestly accepted the Reds' sole Football Federation Australia award this season.

Mabil seized the limelight with maturity when he was called on stage in front of the soccer industry audience, which included Reds teammates Cassio, Eugene Galekovic, Dario Vidosic and Marcelo Carrusca.

After accepting the award, he revealed he is desperate to get a ticket to watch his Manchester United heroes take on the A-League's All Stars in Sydney in July.

"I would love a ticket if I can get one," Mabil said. "I can't get one at the moment.

"My favourite player is Nani - he's unpredictable and we play in the same position. I like how he plays.

"My goal is to play for Man United. Hopefully in five years I can go to EPL and work my way to Man United."

But Mabil's Old Trafford dream is moving perhaps quicker than expected. He has been earmarked as a possible candidate for Young Socceroos duty at the FIFA under-20 World Cup in Turkey this year.

But the 17-year-old needs all of his documents in order before FIFA rubber-stamps approval for the attacker to represent Australia.

Young Socceroos boss Paul Okon has apparently seen enough promise in the youngster at recent camps. It has prompted a flurry of activity from FFA officials.

On Monday night after accepting his NYL award, Mabil was quietly summoned by a high-ranking Young Socceroos official and told to gather the paper trail of his refugee plight because FFA needed to take his case to FIFA.

"I need to work harder and harder for that Young Socceroos goal," he said. "And I need to get stronger . . . so I don't get pushed off the ball easily in the A-League."

He is also two months away from buying his first car, which will cut his daily three-hour journey to training sessions and back from his Andrews Farm home.

Meanwhile, Adelaide chief executive Glenn Elliott met senior members of the Adelaide United Members Club Inc. on Monday. The financial members now plan on meeting board members collectively for the first time next month.

For those who thought 'piss-ant' was an insult, Aurelio obviously knew about the acid-pissing ants that defend themselves in this way. All this time we thought it was an insult and now we know he was talking about a town with a real 'in your face' attitude!

Adelaide United FC is pleased to announce it has secured the services of young striker Tomi Juric on a short term contract until the end of the current Hyundai A-League season.

Juric will arrive in Adelaide on Tuesday from Croatia, where he has been playing with 1st Division side NK Inter Zapresic.

Born in Sydney, the 21 year old was plying his trade in Croatia but has taken up the opportunity to return to his country of birth to suit up for the Reds.

Interim Reds Coach Michael Valkanis is excited about adding the 189cm marksman to his squad and is confident he will not long to acclimatise.

“I think it’s a great opportunity to bring in a very good young player who has been playing at a high level in Croatia,” Valkanis said.

“Being short at the top of the end of the park after losing Sergio van Dijk to Indonesia, it’s good to have anther option in attack. He’s still only young but he’s got great potential and is a player who I’m sure will help us in our endeavours to win some silverware this season.”

Cassio is a risk the guy looked slow and looked like the game was getting past him in his ageing years. Hopefully he can pick it back up will always be a club champion

Golec needs to be a regular CB the guy wants it bad and we performed so much better when he was in the team he is good attacking wise aswell.


RB is a must never had a great one alagich was ok but was not a stand out like cassio was

Midfield we seem to be fine i cant see us changing much there and we shouldn't have to.


i think our attack is ok with djite and jero who i think could do alot of damage playing off each other but another small quick forward would be good to

we got really ripped off with injures last year too should we get another AM too back up carussuca? it seems he will always be injured here and there through seasons, it is what has stopped his career from taking off anywhere.
