I am going to assume a team and bench of Viddie like proportions so I would drop Slory & Watson. I would have Djite, Malik and Mullen on the bench so that I could do either like for like subs or so that I can alter the formation in such a way that I end up with only SVD and Hugene playing in their natural positions.

We need to provide more chances for SVD, he's virtually had 1 chance all season, we aren't giving him the ball in dangerous enough areas.
Cracking weather today, can't wait.

Cracking weather today, can't wait. And we need players around him to collect. He wins almost every high ball pass, but he's always isolated and there's no one there to collect. At the same time, it's also very concerning that we persist with sending long balls to him. On the weather, it's looking magnificent. After freezing my balls against Victory and then searing my skin against Sydney, tonight is THE night for comfort-viewing football

Cracking weather today, can't wait. I agree, Serge has had terrible service from midfield this year, Fabio has provided the best assist for serge this season;) Onto off field matters. So I get home from work today lo& behold, there's an express post envelope in my mailbox...could it be? partially getting ahead of myself, I quickly check the sender label...AUFC Hindmarsh...getting proper excited now, I tear open the envelope and inside(only one month late) is my brand spanking new 11/12Errea Away kit and a little sorry-gram from the club stating that they once again apologize, but circumstances were beyond their control, thank me for my patience etc... Of course having FOM'd my home kit, I'll be in Red for tonight's game, you'd expect nothing else at Hindmarsh surely:) getting excited about the game, but strangely nervous. I was hoping to see daSilva named in the squad and his omission has me worried we are about to head down the "I know what I'm doing..." Vidmar-path only 2 years after breaking the shackles of his negative football style...God its tough work being a football fan sometimes...unless you're a Roar fan, then it seems to be pretty easy these days!

I'm not happy seeing Dilevski playing...anywhere. Because so far he hasn't played. How many anonymous games is a player allowed before they get dropped? A number of players are only holding their places because very few others are in form.
That said, I expect 4-1 to us tonight and a happy crowd.

("expect" = hope for) Well after watching that crap last night I wish Rini would forget " his " team and drop Dilevski for DaSilva or Barbiero, also move Levchenko to the bench and play Usucar from the start ( although I have to admit that I haven't warmed to the tall Ukranian as he is too involved in off-field stuff and Pancho gets stuck in - he may be short and dark and be caught out from time to time but at least he gives his all ) We really miss a play-maker and Vidosic has not filled that void left by Flores. Right now I'm regretting paying the extra bucks to become a member! Edited by redcup: 5/11/2011 01:41:51 PM

Silly boy. God you'd think with all the headlines of dumb sports people using social media to get themselves into trouble that this would have sunk in. Will have to watch himself if he ever plays a game Ben Williams is in charge of

My thought from this weekend.
Attendance proves WHY hindmarsh does not need to be expanded. Sure we get the big crowds against Melbourne Victory but that's only one out of the nine teams we face all year.
Saturday went to Burton park and they had the lady reds on the tv so watched the second half of that. I couldn't believe what I was seeing the lady reds dominating ball possession. They thoroughly deserve a draw out of that. Both quigley and macri had two good chances in the second half to draw level. A win can't be far away.
The youth team played and lost 1-0 to the melb heart youth though both sides had plenty of overaged players. Mullen, barbiero, Malik & boogaard for the reds and sarkies and rutger worm for heart. I think we could see bogaard back this week.
Burton park though far away for most people does provide an awesome atmosphere for the youth and womens teams.

Edited by redcup: 5/11/2011 01:41:51 PM I say drop Watson after that shit for Dilevski You could see he is a RB when he came on in the last 20 minutes or whatever it was Watson just isnt good enough and its sad coz i think he seems like a nice guy. And yeah mr bowtie didnt do shit all once again. Thought Djite looked dangerous and hope the decision to bring him off was coz of fitness after injury otherwise it was a dumb move. Gotta say Slory looked ok and think an impact plyer is the best role for him perhaps, at least for a couple more weeks perhaps. Caravella for me(and most people around me) was frustrating as all hell. Every transition came to a stand still in his posession. He is so slow to move the ball on when he gets it. I expect better from him really. All in all we look horribly static. No movement whatsoever. we have 3 lines of players and you never saw the midfielders getting beyond the strikers etc. That was the most frustrating part. Oh and when we have a throw in or someone is holding on to it in the middle why the hell does no one move for it and want the ball? I would have had my balls ripped off in Div 3 amateur freaking league if i didnt show movement from a set piece and create space or come to the ball. It was just indicative of the performance all over the park . People have their position and they are either too scared or Christ knows what. Anyways, I guess it was better than the Brisbane game but Heart are worse than us and save for their goal offered nothing upfront really. we could have won and probably should have won. We looked so incredibly nervous in the first half especially. I guess thats understandable. I thought i was watching that simpsons epidode when mckain and Susak were just passing to each other for most of the first 20 or so especially. Ok, I guess i should do some work now. Bring on Gold Coast even though I feel they may cause us some problems after watching yesterday's game. Though they might not have a coach on the sidelines

Adelaide United supporters will no doubt remember this banner. It may be difficult to read from the photo, but it says: PANIC BUTTON: PRESS IT If my memory serves me correct, this banner was erected approximately 20th November 2009. Pretty much 2 years ago. And back then under the August start, this would have been round 15. Sadly, that banner made its un-triumphant return on Friday night 4th November... a whopphing 5 rounds in. Levchencko is content on being present at every Adelaide party going round. McKain could be in shit for his half time words. Golec is now in trouble for opening is big mouth. Rini continues "private" training sessions - sessions that are so top-secret not even the players know what it is. We finished dead last 2009/2010. Will history repeat itself in 2011/2012?

Quote:I say drop Watson after that shit for Dilevski You could see he is a RB when he came on in the last 20 minutes or whatever it was Watson just isnt good enough and its sad coz i think he seems like a nice guy. Dilevski looked better in 20 mins than he has in the previous 360! But yeah, give him a chance on the right. I still don't understand why Mullen isn't at RB - a position he has actually excelled at previously. Push Dilevski up in front of Mullen and let them interchange as they feel necessary. As for Watson, I think he was playing exactly as he was told to. You don't start the game as RB standing on the half-way line unless you've been instructed to. Caravella was nowhere to be seen (except next to Lev) so what chance had Watson anyway. He's not a right back. He's a midfielder. Quote:And yeah mr bowtie didnt do shit all once again. Yeah, I was gutted when he had to go off. Not! Quote:Thought Djite looked dangerous and hope the decision to bring him off was coz of fitness after injury otherwise it was a dumb move.
Djite looked good for 45, playing in behind Serg. If either of them had another half yard of pace it would help. It's frightening that Bruce makes Serg look quick! :) Quote:Gotta say Slory looked ok and think an impact plyer is the best role for him perhaps, at least for a couple more weeks perhaps.
I am totally biased when it comes to Slory. I have never liked him. He's not team player. Yes, he won us the free that led to the goal but he did it by very dubious means. Acts like he's a class above the others when he barely makes the grade. The sooner he moves on and we get a quick young winger (instead of a moderately quick old whinger) the better. But we have him so we have to use him. 20 mins seems about his limit. Quote:Caravella for me(and most people around me) was frustrating as all hell. Every transition came to a stand still in his posession. He is so slow to move the ball on when he gets it. I expect better from him really. Classic example of a young player being played out of position and losing his confidence weekly. Quote:All in all we look horribly static. Or no-one has been told that part of the new system involves them moving. Quote:Anyways, I guess it was better than the Brisbane game but Heart are worse than us and save for their goal offered nothing upfront really. Better than being beaten 7-1? I guess so. :) But yes, against the bottom side - at home - well....? Quote:we could have won and probably should have won. We looked so incredibly nervous in the first half especially. I guess thats understandable. I thought i was watching that simpsons epidode when mckain and Susak were just passing to each other for most of the first 20 or so especially. But we didn't win. The back passing is fine occasionally but someone might need to tell the lads that possession football is about keeping the ball in ALL areas of the park - not just the uncontested ones. Hopefully we'll see the real United back again this week. 3-1 to us. That's my heart talking.
