Richie is good but would prefer someone who is not a part of AUFC. Lets hope we can get someone who is dedicated to football and looking to provide an unbiased view. More facts, less opinion - ask the hard questions, but don't be spiteful.

I found the Waitakere game last year very frustrating... :( But then again, like they say - 90 minutes, 90 emotions.

Thanks guys, I'll take it. I trust you own the paper? No? Bugger!

Wouldn't it be a good job though, apart from dealing with the politics? I'll be looking for a new job soon probably. Maybe I should drop Val a line?

I have always been a huge fan of Richie's. Loved him as a player and he always seem straight up. Never one to hide. He's just one more reason a win on Saturday would be very sweet.

Nah don't call Val, call the Advertiser and bring them examples of your work! Your blogs have so far been far better reading than Val's 'journalism'.

AUFC, I watched tonight's game and could not help but fell angry, elated, fustrated, proud, sad, happy and a whole gamut of other emotions. The team I saw tonight were world beaters, they deserved so much more than they got. I expect the forums to be full with the mindless and childish viterol of those who claim to be fans of this great game for the next 48 hours and so will not be here to witness it. With regard to the game, MV and AUFC played despite of the referring, Breeze showed once again why he should never, ever be allowed to be in charge of a game between AUFC & MV. I do not support either red card, the yellow cards for absolute rubbish, the soft frees against both teams and the infringements unsighted.

But tonight belongs to AUFC, the boys played as the team that we supporters know they are. Fluid attacking football, resolute defence - we showed everything that we are. The boys played their absolute hearts out and I for one could not be prouder of them. At no point did I watch this game and actually think, AUFC cannot win this. Even when down to 10 men, even when we conceeded the goal. I could see the boys lift, they were absolute lions! Dodgy was a true leader, Salley was a wall, our backline shut them out and covered for each other dulling attack after attack. Our midfield never disapeared! Finally they played the whole game!

AUFC & MV gave us a grand final to be proud of, even though Breeze did his best to spoil it. I honestly do not care that we didn't win, I am just full to bursting with pride at the way we went about the task.

UNITED! UNITED! UNITED!

I agree with all the sentiments said guys

sure Im gutted - I wanted to win but we played our hearts out and are tactics were perfect. Shame we got scrwed over again by Breeze. And this year is going to do a world of good for Viddie in the future. There is light at the end of the tunnel

We find outselves some strikers, snag philiani with how we played today we will be world beaters.

An ACL and a A-Leauge final is a fine effort - in 2009/2010 we will be better than ever!

Whoa, im falling so in love with you, such composure. im so furious, i would have been at the mtch if it wasn't for not being able to get work off.

hopefully we pick up a few stikers and can make a good run next season. the season will be more important as 6 teams will make the finals and basically it will make it more of a toss up to who wins

Well i was completly pissed off. Everyone i would have ben watching with was at the game, i couldn't geth the weekend off. but they didn't think it was a red at the match. i sort of was goig balistic all match, and about 4 of us decided after the match to skull about 3-4 pints each to get srunk. good idea i think.

the pub went balistic when pondilak made his speach saying melbourne showed tey were better.

You've all said it well. Tonight we saw our team stand tall and walk off with pride. They lost....nothing tonight. There is a reason every Adelaide fan grits their teeth when Breeze turns up at Hindmarsh and we saw it again tonight. He almost managed to destroy the most important game of the year inside ten minutes. But he didn't, because our boys didn't let him.

I'm proud to be wearing my red shirt tonight.

Our time will come.

Our time will come - im banking on it next year

Sure we are going to have to recuit well enough for how we played tonight to work as a full time tactic for us. It will depend on how the new owners are able to finance getting those players. And even after the great year Viddie has had, this year will make him a better coach in the long run.

Light is at the end of the tunnel - im emotionally drained atmo to be upset
