The more you know, etc. It may be because Max has confused our goalkeeper who's is called Eugene with the tall Ukranian DM who wears bow-ties and cardigans @ fashion shoots, this guy's name is Evgeniy - I doubt there'd not be too many Korean girls called that! Besides, you can't really use "Evgeniy" in a song like Max's

Hinderz wrote:Rini got a very strong side when he came to Adelaide (after we turned down Ange Postecoglou) and he was given the keys to Viddie's ACL squad. He's now gutted that squad and rebuilt it as he's seen fit. He's made some good signings but he also has bought in some overpaid average imports who aren't better than what's available in this country. Is Usacar or Levchenko or Slory worth a visa spot? If you use Cassio, Flores, van Djik and Rech as the standard, then none of Rinis imports have made the grade yet..
It seems like our team was put together in a very haphazard way and now Rini is now trying to find a structure to suit the players he's signed rather than signing players to suit the structure he was going to implement. Djite for example,I'm a big Djite fan from his first stint with us but what's the point on bringing him in to play with SVD; they are hardly complementary; unless we have one eye on selling SVD to the Indonesian league and are preparing for life after Serg. I dont see how Rinis going to be able to play them both effectively unless we keep pumping it long to them, is that Rinis master plan? We have 5-7 cbs in Susak, Mckain, Boogaard, Mullen (who they don't seem to consider to be a rb any more), Golec plus Levchenko + Malik who can play there, but we have 2-3 wingers. Plus we are chopping and changing but iirc still haven't created a single goal from open play and rely on the mistakes of the opponents and individual efforts. If only Reid hadn't been such a giant douche because we are missing him.
Hopefully we are just suffering from teething problems and Rini can iron it all out and get the boys fit and playing well but so far its not been looking good.
In the meantime I guess we'll have to keep praying that Flores will come back as a guest player [-o<
Edited by Hinderz: 8/11/2011 02:23:59 AM Was that the reason he was sacked by FC Twente the second year he was coach there?

Edited by Hinderz: 8/11/2011 02:23:59 AM I have it on very good authority that Marcoth Floreth will not come back to United while Rini is still the gaffer. So is Rini who Val was referring to on Adelaide Now. Was asking Flores who he didn't miss, but neither would say a name? What's the story??

Marcos does have a real passion for Adelaide the city though and he loved the fan support.

If you guys don't like Rini, I heard Merrick is available.
You might even be able to make a play for Durakovic sometime in the next few months.

Didn't seem to be any tension during the season.

Is it just me or is the club REALLY trying to put it out there that they need us to attend games this season? Preaching to the converted, or actual promotion work? http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/adelaideunited/news-display/Match-Day-at-Hindmarsh/42534

Since its a Gold Coast home game will Miron force Rini back to the northern side and will the Reds wear their clash strip tonight?
Hope everyone respects the minute silence tonight.

Hope everyone respects the minute silence tonight. I agree I'm not a man that subscribes to nationalism or patriotism really at all, nor do I romanticizse war like some people.... BUT....if the Red Army or others carry on during it, it will make headlines in the paper without a doubt. Just remember that guys, and anyone here involved with them i hope you spread the word. No doubt there will be one drunky that tries to get a luagh like there always is but you cant help that

What will be a respectable crowd tonight? 7k?
I just bought 5 tickets, latest PAX at 3974, certainly not ideal.

I dont understand the financial side of things tonigh.....How much Adelaide forked out, and who gets what percentage gate takings? ie how many people need to turn up to make it a profitable arrangement??? I told a few season ticket holders yesterday that they had to pay for this one, seems the message hasnt got through to everyone about the pre-purchase offer.

I think we need to get our season average to break even, so this game is going to cost us money.

People will point to this

Who else is living in fear that Pancho is going to start on the bench with Dilevski as our defensive midfielder and Watson at RB?
