Adelaide United FC Squad – AFC Champions League 2012 Knockout Stage 1.Eugene GALEKOVIC (gk), 2.Osama MALIK, 3.Nigel BOOGAARD, 4.Jon McKAIN, 6.CASSIO, 7.Zenon CARAVELLA, 8.Marcelo CARRUSCA, 9.Sergio VAN DIJK, 10.Dario VIDOSIC, 11.Bruce DJITE, 12.Antony GOLEC, 14.Cameron WATSON, 15.Jacob MELLING, 16.Daniel BOWLES, 17.Iain RAMSAY, 18.Fabian BARBIERO, 19.Jake BARKER-DAISH, 22.Iain FYFE, 23.Evan KOSTOPOULOS, 24.Teeboy KAMARA, 27.Jordan ELSEY, 30.Paul IZZO (gk), 38.John HALL (gk)
I'll have to get myself to AU training, so I can see why Watson is always in the mix. There is obviously something he does there that he doesn't do whenever I've seen him?

Edited by redcup: 24/8/2012 03:35:49 PM If Jordan Elsey makes the squad I am not sure how Watson would not make it. Both are hopefully just there as backup defenders but it does show that there is a thought we need more defenders. Hall selected ahead of Australian under 19 squad member Nick Munro as third goalkeeper.

4-2 loss to MV tonight. Gotta say judging by the twitter updates I was watching, we seemed to be on the back foot almost the entire match and were lucky not to concede more. Seemed to be quite a few defensive errors so hopefully we've got them out of our system

The only encouraging thing was that we forced a few saves and hit the woodwork a number of times, our defense definitely sounds like it needs more practice together.

Hey guys, my old man has just moved to Adelaide, and I thought it would make a nice fathers day present if I was to get him a season ticket. I noticed Glory are doing a special father's day membership promotion, so I was wondering if United were doing the same?

I noticed Glory are doing a special father's day membership promotion, so I was wondering if United were doing the same? Sounds way too forward thinking for United, but I'm sure organising the ACL squad and home game has, more than likely, been at the forefront of their thoughts. I reckon a well worded e-mail or phone call to the Admin. staff, Matt Rossi in particular, describing what you want to do, may be the way to go. Good luck! Edited by redcup: 25/8/2012 02:19:51 PM

In my book criticising can come from a good place and it just shows we care
