After the announcment minutes ago, it's gonna make tomorrow night that much more special. Can't wait.
I hope they point that out when they announce the team sheet at least or something. He is sure to get a rousing reception either way. I love that man. Hope it doesnt rain tomorrow night. Not that i wouldnt still be there in the rain but i want the crowd to be as big as possible!!!! Time to start lubricating the throat already. I can feel A LOT of screaming coming on!!!! Hope it's celebratory at least...

Taken from the Red Army forum. This is apparently the Fixture for next season that was in the paper today. If it's correct, then we play Victory and Sydney at Adelaide Oval. I was also under the impression that if you played twice away to a team in the previous season, you got two home games against them in the next season. Obviously not because we play Victory and Sydney away twice again which doesn't really seem fair to me. Quote: PROVISIONAL A-LEAGUE DRAW FOR ADELAIDE UNITED SEASON 2010-11

Another retarded draw!!!! Who makes these??? We play newcastle twice before we have even played Perth, Brisbane or Victory!!!! Can it be that hard???
Anyways I like that we play Melbs on the last day of the season at Hindmarsh. Would be great to see a similar scenario as this year but us instead of Sydney. Of course it would also be lovely to be able to consign MV to wooden spoon in the last week too!
I mean Adelaide Oval...

Here's an update on the ticket situation: Quote:We are unable to send replacement tickets but we can issue a Lost Ticket Voucher (LTV) replacing the original tickets which will be available for your collection from the box office from 1 hour before the performance.
Once a Lost Ticket Voucher has been issued, it can only be collected from the Venue Box Office. The voucher will not be sent to you. This replaces any previous tickets issued.
For us to arrange this for you please confirm that you (the cardholder) will be attending the performance and you would like us to arrange a Lost Ticket Voucher. You can do this by replying to this email as the cardholder.
IMPORTANT:
1. You will need to collect your LTV from the Venue Box Office from 1 hour before the event starts;
2. Only the card holder who purchased the tickets can collect the LTV;
3. You will need to provide the credit card used to make the purchase and photo id;
4. If possible please also take your My Ticketek Account Number which can be found on the Confirmation email you received shortly after your tickets were purchased;
5. If concession tickets have been purchased, you will need to provide proof of concession.
Please note -We can only arrange this when dealing with the credit card holder, if you are not the card holder please get them to contact us via email with all account details or alternatively by calling 132 849 and asking for existing bookings. This is fucking ridiculous. I won't be home tomorrow as I'll be at work, hence the whole "Deliver my tickets" thing. This is made even more fucking retarded by the fact I ordered my tickets during the "Members' Priority Period" back on the 28th of April. I'm thinking of submitting a formal complaint to both Ticketek and Adelaide United - so that at least the club can do something about this shit.

Yep, Ticketek are a fucking joke. I ordered mine on the Friday after our last match and it took a week just to fucking send them. With Venuetix, I had mine in the mail two days after I bought them. How does it take a week just to print them and put them in the post? I'm guessing they were sent Friday night and didn't actually make the mail until yesterday, which is why I'm still holding out hope they'll be there tomorrow.
Unlike you I'm not working so luckily I can still pick them up in the morning. It's still fucking shit though.

When buying from ticketek there is an option to print your own tickets. Its free and then you dont have to worry about getting your tickets. Ticketek is easily the worst ticketing agency to deal with.

I did consider this option when I ordered my tickets, but blame my traditionalist approach, since I actually like having the proper ticket as a souvenir post-match. :p In future, I will probably go direct to the outlet to buy the tickets instead.

Im generally the same when it comes to wanting the proper ticket, they make for a good souvineer, my fiancé is quite the scrap booker and we have a whole scrap book of events like concerts, sport festivals and so on that have images and quotes from the event, and having the original ticket really finishes of these pages.

I'm definitely gonna make some away trips next season (depending on my financial position). Victory away is a must and I'm pretty keen to see the new Bubbledome so will probably go to a Heart game. Would love to go to NZ but realisitically that probably won't happen, and wouldn't mind going to Sydney. Would have to take Friday off work for the Heart and also Wellington but I'm sure they wouldn't mind :p Quote: Round 5 - Saturday September 4 vs. Sydney @ SFS

Ticketek = complete waste of time and space. How hard is it to post out tickets?

Obviously too hard. I just received a message from them telling me that I now have to pick them up from the venue and the tickets that I receive in the mail are now void. So now I've paid for postage which is completely pointless.

I would call them up, but I really can't be bothered spending 15-20 minutes on hold.
On the plus side it's match day. COME ON UNITED! :d

I just spent 20mins online but have to go out now. I also called the club to request an explanation. They're too busy to talk to me today but have promised to call back. They say that they don't choose the agency - the stadium does. I still think they have a responsibility to look after their fans by having a go at the agency. It's not good enough. If we make enough noise they might be forced to change agancy or make the agency actually do what they're paid for. You can imagine the lines tonight to pick up tickets!
Are they going to compensate me for my extra 2-3 (Phone, email, in -line) hours mucking around trying to get my tickets? The tickets I paid to have sent to me so I could just walk in.
Stop Press....
They just rang me to explain there was a "hold up in the Post" and I could pick up my tickets from the gate or the Entertainment centre if I liked. I 'politely' explained how helpful that was to a person at work and asked if Australia Post had created the delay. "No", not Australia Post - apparently Ticketek in Sydney. So, basically they stuffed it up and now we have to line up. Will they do anything to compensate us? Ummm...no.
Anyway...C'mon you Reds!

I just called home to check with Dad if the tickets had arrived. He said they did this morning. But because I'm at work, and there's no car at home, there's no way to get those tickets from home. Absolutely furious about this. They had 2 whole weeks to send out the tickets!
I guess I'll be lining up with everyone else (literally) tonight to get my damn tickets from the gate. Fuck you very much Ticketek.

I'm a grumpy old man already, although experience has told me: Complain directly to the big boss of the corporation in writing ( online ) and copy that letter { Oh befriend a lawyer } ; if you can get him to write a letter even better - it makes big corporation's shit sacared! Currently at the ground. My dad managed to drop the ticket off at work (bless him) and I managed to get in with that ticket regardless of having the Lost Ticket Voucher arrangement organised with Ticketek.
Crowd looks very thin at the moment though. Players have come out to warm up now.
