Yeah, Cristiano and Alemao were formally released prior to the game against Jeonbuk. As for Jamieson, he probably needed the move to get him playing again. Not a big loss, really.

Jamo will not be a loss if the young guns step in and we sign Adam Griffiths.
Griffiths scared me at first, but the last couple of games he's looked just as good as Costanzo, vision and the ability to play out of diffficult areas.

He is the only true loss for the squad though, having that utility around was very useful - I hope he moves to a club that gives him game time, he deserves it.

I think we are all on the same wavelength - if it was Jamo season 1 leaving we would be devo, the Jamo we have at the moment? Cassio plays with better heart and getting cap space for Griffiths is more important.

I am surprised that Heart didn't sign Cristiano? A younger striker from the Eredivisi, I thoght van Schip would jump at the chance. Now he's signed an older Dutch guy that was retired???

Alamao is class. I heard a whisper that he's going to play in the State Super league. I suppose a lot hinges on his Adelaidian wife.

I would support a super league team that signed him up!

Cristiano is looking a going to Fake Salt Lake isn't he?

Ok let's see:

* Cristiano - Don't think he made the cut with Real Salt Lake.

* Alemao - would be a decent pick-up for any club in the A-League, but I have no idea why he's not being courted.

* Ownership - I have absolutely no idea what's going on right now. No updates whatsoever, except for the fact that Alan Young's official page does state that he's the chairman of AUFC.

* Membership - I have decided I will stick with my Gold membership, but I will probably head over to the general admission stand every now and then anyway. I just want the roof over my head when it pours. :D

* December game against Heart - should I stay and watch it, or head to Melbourne for a cousin's wedding? Choices... choices...

Only logical option would be to tell your cousin to move their wedding forward one month so you can go to the Heart game and the wedding afterwards. I'm sure they would understand. :D

There is no quandry - go to the wedding, you'll just have to get a mate to tape it and watch it on TV.
No-where near like the real thing, but family will always trump going to the game

I just had a browse of the http://forum.adelaidereds.com/ forum, and the http://www.footballnews.com.au/forum/ forums, and it seems both are under legal pressure to shut down their sites or censor their forum users' posts.

This does not bode well for freedom of speech in South Australia.

I don.t know about you guys but I'm getting mightily sick of in-action by United!

All I've heard is ' Maarrone going to heart, Jamieson going to Sydney, Cassio MAY go to Korea. "
Heart to play Everton, Victory to play Boca " shit EVEN Phoenix are playing Boca now.

What do we get? No news on owners, no new signings ( Griffiths is sitting there FFS!! )no decent teams to pack Hindmaesh for pre-season.

Were does the buck stop? Petrilo? Viddie? the board? ABC? :-& :-& :-& :-&

All the players are on holidays at the moment, so I wouldn't expect any big news until pre-season starts again in mid-June.

As for big games, we don't have the money or the stadium to play against teams like Everton or Boca Juniors.

But yes, I want to know what exactly is going on with Cassio. I DO NOT WANT HIM TO LEAVE. :(

Well no more inaction!!
No owner, actually Youg was getting up my nose!! So hopefully St Nick will reinvest. ( in utopia we'd have a community funded club )

The coach - just as long as Perth honour their contract with Mitchell we can rest easy.
I'd like to see Mullen or Okon, or maybe a decent overseas coach, but that'd be expensive and I'd rather money spent on players.

I guess we'll see. Remember the dark days of City pulling out of the NSL led to Pickard riding up on his white charger and giving birth to United before the HAL began.

Pickard back in and a mandate to set up direct investment from stakeholders? [-o<

I am not sure if he is actually interested in owning a club, plus he is seen as the Adelaide White Knight (tm) I don't think that is an image he is comfortable with.

Adelaide 36ers ( basketball ) were in the shit re. owners last year, so Pickard bailed them out ( hence the White Knight ref. ) so I think his finances are tied up.

He does love football though so if he wasn't wrapped up in something else he may have been interested.

Oh and here's the upcoming season's fixture in .ics file format - ready to import into Outlook.

http://tinyurl.com/22wc9yu

Right-click and "Save link/target as...", then you can double-click it to open into Outlook or whatever program you use to track appointments and uses .ics calendars.

I use it on Outlook so I can sync it to my iPod Touch.

Here's some interesting news, Ross Aloisi is the new coach of West Adelaide and John Kosmina will be coaching the Raiders. Ironically announcements on the new appointments were made on Sunday and Monday respectively.

Now that is interesting.

Kossie's dad will be happy, but would have been happier if John took charge of Croydon.
Aloisi @ West Adelaide, his main enemy as a local player all those years ago? Oh to be a fly on the wall, but they can only get better as they're currently staring relegation in the face.

Ross actually played a couple seasons at West Adelaide. But i agree, 2nd division state league is a good place for Ross to cut his teeth in coaching. Should be interesting to see what he can do with West. As for Kossie, i still can't find anything official on his appointment. A mate told me :-k
