Don't laugh, WU have a home "ground" now  Yep, and theirs for however long they want. Better position than most clubs. Or until Maynard and Kate Roffey are booted out of the council.... Yup, better position than most clubs indeed. Your speculation has no basis. I count 1512 seats. Looks like somebody over ordered then mate :) the actual "stadium" doesn't look like it would take more than 500-700 seats.  I recounted, looks like it's 1008 seats. Each panel has 84 seats and it appears to be a total of 12 panels. So pretty similar to a bunch of suburban grounds around Melbourne. Wonder why they didnt go with green and black seating for their "own" home stadium though? Maybe the council is hedging their bets? tee hee. Probably more a case of a 'give us your absolute cheapest option possible'. Grey seats on grey concrete in the middle of a paddock. About as uninviting as it gets. Something is better than nothing and can't complain too much about any football infrastructure being actually built in Victoria. Its a far cry from their renders though isnt it? :) Oh well, wonder how they will spin this new "boutique stadium" experience being soooo much better than the unsuitable Lakeside......  So you've gone from "they ll never build the stadium" to "the seats are grey" No, but it IS "their stadium" isnt it? If thats what these charlatans are claiming wouldn't you think they would at least have seats to reflect that? BTW, still dont think they will EVER build the "shovel ready" stadium their bid hinged on, its a pipe dream... this is a 500 seat council ground , NPL 3 level at best, they are now going to pass off as the spiritual hoe of football in the west.... hahahahahahha its actually quite hilarious. Its common that government will insist that the facilities it has a stake in are available to the rest of the community. I'm sure WU will add their branding when the ground is operational. The real challenge for Western United is spelt out in their name :United. Can they actually unite the West behind them? There is a huge football community out here, but its all divided and each group is connected to their own smaller clubs. They really need to work out how Western Sydney did it.

WU are building their stadium.
There were updated rendering sfloating around the resembled the San Jose Earthquakes stadium not too long ago.
There is work being down, but i agree in the fact that all this effort for the trainign ground points to the fact that the proper stadium i think will be here for about their 10th season.
In another 6 years of development of the Tarneit region, the land will need to be utilised.

There is work being down, but i agree in the fact that all this effort for the trainign ground points to the fact that the proper stadium i think will be here for about their 10th season. In another 6 years of development of the Tarneit region, the land will need to be utilised. It would be great if it were true, however there is very little evidence to suggest that any work has been completed on the main privately owned stadium. Renders are a dime a dozen. Any first year architecture or industrial design student can smash one of those out in an afternoon. Renders are meaningless, which is why they always have disclaimers about them being an 'artistic impression'. These days you could just make one in a matter of seconds in Midjourney or Dall-e. The reality is that there has been zero announcement of which building company will be building it and there has been no planning permits granted in relation to the main stadium. These two pieces of information (or lack there of) point to the possibility that they have barely even started. It's a far cry from the 'shovel ready' lies made during the bidding process. The training ground is a completely separate project all together, which is 100% owned and operated by Wyndham City. WU are just a tenant like many other council owned facilities you'd find in suburbs all over the country. It will be nice for them once built, but it is not theirs. They will definitely need to drop the membership prices as I can't imagine there being too many people eager to pay the current price and then have to stand or sit on temporary stands.
