The only thing that would make an away trip for a Socceroos match against Nepal any better would be if it was held in Bhutan.

True, although I've wanted to go to Iran so bad, and the Iraq game was an opportunity, but it's not the same when you're not playing the home country in their own country. When the Aussies came to town in Bishkek everyone was talking about it and it was an unforgettable occasion!

I hope Nepal gets their stadium repaired in time to host us, I'd like to do the Mt Everest base camp trek in the same trip. 

Hopefully we'll draw Bhutan next time, that would be a terrific away trip too.

I must say the quality of host broadcaster coverage is infinitely better than the Jordan Australia game, even over Bet365.

So let's assume Jordan beat Taiwan at home tonight, so the implications for Australia going into March's pair of matchdays with us leading the pack on 12 points to Jordan and Kuwait's 10 are as follows:

First matchday 26/03/20: Australia hopefully smashes Kuwait at home, the other game between Nepal and Taiwan not being relevant while Jordan have a bye. Australia 15, Kuwait and Jordan still 10.

Second matchday 31/06/20: Hopefully we get a draw between Kuwait and Jordan or a Kuwait win, meaning an away win in Nepal will seal first place for us, making the Nepal away trip a must for the celebration as the last two home games in June will be dead rubbers, leaving both the squad and fans with three clear months to focus on the Copa America.

Of course, this scenario is rose-tinted stuff as we've botched it against Kuwait at home before, and it relies on results outside of our control.

Every game with qualification points on the line - be it a Round 2 home match against Guam, or an inter-confederation playoff against Brazil - must be treated with the utmost respect, until qualification is sealed.
