The ball touched Paine’s glove off GOAT on the full, which Smith caught.

+x3-25 in Pakistan second dig. Cummins dismisses Asad Shafiq caught Smith at second slip. Starc is bowling smart. Not trying to replicate Cummins but making the most of the bounce and whacking them in short.

+xWell done, Labu! First ton! Yes and chock full of quality DC. Did you watch. Some of his driving is top shelf. You get a strong sense of confidence when love machine (Marnus) comes to the crease. It is almost that he has been bewitched by his association with Steve Smith during the Ashes. He has a similar presence at the crease.. has adopted the same leg bend before a ball is bowled.. the same extravagant leave.. even some of SPUD's bizarre mannerisms. ..and he is now also scoring hundreds. He is becoming a Smith clone.

Their prime spinner Yasir also looked far more dangerous today. Oh for a quality wristie in the Australian attack.

I feel ambivalent about Warner. He was the architect of ball tampering and exemplifies deviant behaviour on the pitch.
I enjoyed Naseem’s around the wicket attack on him that resulted in his dismissal.
I hope he is replaced by the likes of Burns and Renshaw based on form.
He is a good batter to watch when playing in Australia, but has been substandard overseas.
Warner has been the antithesis of the statespersonlike demeanour of the Tim Paine, George Bailey, Pat Cummins, Adam Voges, Chris Rogers type of cricketer.

Was at a 60th yesterday at a good mate’s with all his craft beer like home brews. He is also a mate of the TCA boys and girls you met! You wouldn’t have liked any of the beer.

But we agree on this. 100%. There have been fine people don the baggy green, and those names you said above, are total role models for everyone, of any age. Warner has talent, he is the best t20 batsman I have ever seen. Forget Gayle, its him, its Warner. Its not Kohli, Abdv oir Pollard. But Warner. But he is not a leader. Or a great human being yet. I hope - he spends the next few years, learning to be a leader and role model, not just for Australians, but for cricket. Cos he has some serious talent, he just stuffs things up with his mouth.

I class him closer to an attack dog, a mad dog.. with little class. But yes he sure can lather a white cricket ball.

The Gabba seems empty this morning after a big crowd watched yesterday.
I’m surprised with Aus a good chance to win.

Hazlewood is bowling a good line and length.
Where is Mike these days?
I’d love to hear Mike pontificate what Hazlewood is doing wrong ATM.
LOL!
Hazlewood might have struggled for a year by his own standards, but there has been a 2019 resurgence in his Test career.

Shan and Babar survived some high quality bowling from the Australian attack for that first hour today.
Great bowling pressure was applied.

Excellent balls from bothCummins and H to take the two wickets just before drinks.
Great jumping high catch from from old man Paine too off Cummins’ bouncer.

Only gotta listen to what the former players/comms are saying about him. He was just robbed of a wicket by a nonsense DRS call. We are also seeing why a Cummins/Hazlewood opening partnership needs to continue. I believe and some media talk that Hazlewoods wicket taking dropped in last year or so as Starc's form was on the slippery slide.. Since opening with Cummins his figures have risen.

Can’t remember what Pak started on today, but at 6-268, they must have scored 3-200 plus.

Mike, you must be watching this mate.
Joshy H has taken something like 25 wickets in his last 4 Tests. I haven’t heard much from you lately making any comments relating to cricket.
What’s up?
Shah gone caught Wade off Joshy H. I think he has 26 wickets now in 4 Tests.

Gee, imagine if we had good patient world class fast bowlers on these good batting wickets...instead of these hacks. We could have won this one by an innings.....oh...wait on...lol.
Starcey still a bit of a worry and maybe not first choice in England, worth it on these pitches though. Can usually make something happen in amongst the "four" balls. Wouldn't like to be a tail ender.

Point I am trying to make is, it must be a worry for a bowler who specialises in hitting a certain spot on the pitch ball after ball like Josh to maintain that pressure building when your partner is letting off the pressure at the other end. He must be in two minds about how to combat this. Do I continue to be accurate or do I try to mix up my deliveries and try to take wickets that way. With the more accurate Cummins Josh is able to not be concerned if he maintains his impeccable accuracy. This is borne out in the graph Fox Cricket showed of Josh's point of impact after delivering the ball while partnering Cummins. Nine of ten of his balls were in the perfect 7/8 metre zone. Will be interested to see a similar graph while partnering an erratic Starc.
