I feel ambivalent about Warner. He was the architect of ball tampering and exemplifies deviant behaviour on the pitch.
I enjoyed Naseem’s around the wicket attack on him that resulted in his dismissal.
I hope he is replaced by the likes of Burns and Renshaw based on form.
He is a good batter to watch when playing in Australia, but has been substandard overseas.
Warner has been the antithesis of the statespersonlike demeanour of the Tim Paine, George Bailey, Pat Cummins, Adam Voges, Chris Rogers type of cricketer.

+xThe ball touched Paine’s glove off GOAT on the full, which Smith caught. Yes up to the catch.. which replays showed was on the half volley. Lyon extracted unusual bounce from the deck. Their prime spinner Yasir also looked far more dangerous today. Oh for a quality wristie in the Australian attack.

+xWell done, Labu! First ton! Yes and chock full of quality DC. Did you watch. Some of his driving is top shelf. You get a strong sense of confidence when love machine (Marnus) comes to the crease. It is almost that he has been bewitched by his association with Steve Smith during the Ashes. He has a similar presence at the crease.. has adopted the same leg bend before a ball is bowled.. the same extravagant leave.. even some of SPUD's bizarre mannerisms. ..and he is now also scoring hundreds. He is becoming a Smith clone.

+x3-25 in Pakistan second dig. Cummins dismisses Asad Shafiq caught Smith at second slip. Starc is bowling smart. Not trying to replicate Cummins but making the most of the bounce and whacking them in short.

GOAT is extracting considerable turn and bounce as there is a review for a GOAT wicket.

GOAT has 367 Test wickets which is something like 367 wickets, which is about 3rd highest Aussie wicket taking bowler of all time.

With Pakistan being so far behind ,3- 52 off 12 overs is adventurous.
GOAT comes on.

+x+x+x+x2-75 Australia fight back it looks a tricky pitch for visitors actually. Lots of bounce and the old ball is still seeming a bit. Lets see how pakistans middle order cope Aussies have bowled better on the first day of a Test. Pitch had the usual Gabba bounce and carry but little venom. But added pressure in the second session did bring a clump of wickets. Some good contributions with the bat from Pakistan. Tomorrow looks a pivotal day in the series. A sensible start is needed then cash in. Help where is everyone. Daytime cricket is different from overseas cricket played in the evenings, Baggers. Some of us play golf on weekend days.

Loving watching Naseem’s genuine fast bowling outside Warner’s off stump from around the wicket, like Broad, in partnership with Yasir Shah’s superb wrist spin, as he deceives Smith by flight for a duck by getting him LBW.

Warner makes 150, albeit with luck with one ball hitting the stumps and another dismissing him off a no ball.
Naseem looks to be very promising.

The Australian attack bowled well.
Cummins, Hazlewood, Starc, Lyon and Labu all did their bit.
Some have elucidated Starc’s Issues, but he dismissed three tailenders quite quickly.

+xWarner is gonna get a Test ton by default. Please explain? Ok.. Warner wafted at and nicked a wide one from the baby quick Shah. But disaster for the debutant as he overstepped in his delivery stride. Then Imran bowled him with the ball clipping Warner’s off stump when he was about 150 without the bails falling off. Very lucky.

But disaster for the debutant as he overstepped in his delivery stride. Stumps: 1-321. Joe Burns went for an unlucky 97. Warner 151, Labuchagne, 55. Warner also survived a ball hitting his off stump but somehow the bails stayed put. Warner must have had super glue in his pocket. Waqar will be disappointed with his bowlers. Gave Warner..specially too many freebies. It seems back to same old, same old, Baggers. Our mediocre batsmen overseas, look great on bouncy home pitches that the tourists are unfamiliar with.

Naseem has a beautiful side on bowling action!
He looks like Dennis Lillee.
Bowls in the high 140s at only 16 years of age.
