I was more confident of beating City than Nix. After SFC and Glory I recon this is the next best team in the Comp.

Can’t have this.
3-1 Roar. Red card to DeVere for two yellow cards.

I'm going with the 3-1 to the Nix too. Reflects the difference in quality between the two sides.
I'm tipping the Nix for the Championship. I reckon that by finals time, they will have the wood on Sydney.

Bold prediction.
The only Nix goal to come when Corey Brown gets caught out of position, panics, scrambles back and gives a dumb-ass penalty away.

Tell you the truth I think we will see a different Roar this game playing well. Nix have a few players out so who knows?. Phoenix have had players out for a few games now. Had four starting players out last game and still won 2-0. Ball is hopefully back and we're finally starting to get good minutes out of our marquee so we should win it, but it's the A-League and even Sydney's lost a game this season so anything's possible.

With Aldred out and Neville doubtful, roar are going to need a major re-shuffle in defence which won't help there cause against wellington. Inman looks class and i wouldn't be surprised if he scores again. 3-1 Nix

+xDWH makes things happen. Very tidy work to nutmeg Taylor and slot it home. And this is what wenzell-halls does when he is given an appropriate opportunity. And he is harassing the defenders so much when not in possession as well.

DWH adds so much to this Brisbane attack. Always in the game one way or another, he's a little terrier. Hopefully feeds off McDonalds experience.

Brisbane looked much better defensively today. Better picking up of players making attacking runs. Looked better organised.
Was Aldred not being there a benefit?

Well my prediction of 1 - 1 was a bit off as to other posts where there was pessimism.
Wenzal Halls should start and better still - long term contract. Just my 1Cents worth

With all the shit the Roar and RF haters have been throwing, I just noticed that Roar have only lost 4 games.!!
so defence can't be as bad as what some kept raving on about.
For a change Roar making their own luck in games.

Thought we were by far the better team, but that's football. Well done to Brisbane.
Not too worried if we keep playing like that. With Ball and Piscopo coming back, we're a more potent team.

Yep I'll agree nix probably had the better of most of the game but it did swing a bit. Brisbane had s good period where this time they got something and this hadn't necessarily been happening for them. Good pressure from nix at the finish which was tactically interesting as both coaches showed their desire to make changes to attempt to gain an advantage. Well done both coaches. They both made good tactical changes.

In long periods you were. We had a big job to get something out of this game and earned some luck. A couple of inches and you have another couple of goals. Young huge again for us - especially the offside save. Bloody nerve wracking last 20 minutes as you piled the pressure on. Good game.
When I wear their colours, I am the club.

Roars defence was reasonably good but it came at the cost of a 5-4-1 which left us short going forward.
When we went to 3-5-2 (SMD and DWH in) we were the better side for a brief period and scored in that time.
After the goal though Roar reverted back to a more defensive approach and it was nerve wracking.
0-0 would have been a fair result.

Well done Roar. Defended well and nullified the Nix danger players. DWH took his chance well and Young made some great saves at the end. Looked like tough conditions and Hooper seemed to struggle in the heat and humidity. Nix really didn't get enough shots on target to make there periods of dominance count. Inman will be one very relieved player, to hang on for the win after that shocking miss.
