EA Hits Almost $1 Billion in Microtransactions, Gets Slapped with Lawsuit Over FIFA 20 Team Packs

"Paris-based lawyers Karim Morand-Lahouazi and Victor Zagury — respectively representing two separate clients — argue that Ultimate Team is nothing more than a gambling game, and a stingy one at that.
“Buying packs is nothing more than a bet. The logic of a casino has entered their homes,” Zagury told L’Equipe.
Ultimate Team sells gamers the dream of building a team filled with soccer icons like Pele, Maradona, Zinedine Zidane and George Best. But after spending €600 ($663) in five months, the best player Zagury’s client had acquired was Greece and Napoli defender Kostas Manolas, who he had never heard of."

I read the last article, but it is not very interesting in describing these events. EA games is unlikely to comment on this. Your article doesn't say anything about it. That EA gets some revenue from Steam players is true. But that's fine, given that they are collaborating. I like https://reddogs-casino.com/mobile-app/ better since there is an app with games and you can play anywhere. It's cool and it suits me and there are tons of games there

When a player purchases an EA game on Steam, Steam keeps a percentage of the commission (usually around 30%), and the rest goes to EA. This commission rate may vary for developers Pokemon Showdown and publishers on Steam depending on the agreement between Steam and the developer/publisher.
