rather than waiting in vain for a vaccine( none of the other coronoa have a cure despite years of trying) , it would be better to get the obesse on weight loss programs. bascially the more overweight the worse you get the virus, normal body weight you get mild form and recover.

Rather than presenting those individuals with a high BMI and or those with Comorbidity’s, as your main cause of concern , you should concentrate on the fact that the WHO is giving the all clear for Wet Markets to reopen....

With regards this though definitely fucked up big time. China has them in their pocket for some reason. They do but they'd equally be in the US or any western country's pockets too. It's just the nature of these sorts of organisations. There's no doubt that some reforms are needed but it's all politics when you get to that level. It's been said already but ultimately there was still plenty of time for nations to be much better prepared than they were (especially the US).

The point is if you are one of these clowns that believe 'the market will sort it out' then you are deluded. Companies with shareholders have a responsibility to their shareholders first and foremost and that means developing drugs that are profitable. Guaranteed there'd be 100 scientists working on an anti-wrinkle cream or a slimming tablet to the one working on a cure for muscular dystrophy. Fine, that's how the free market works but it's why the government needs to fund research and have their own well funded agencies like the CSIRO.

The market is presented with a supply and demand curve. The modelling itself shows that a portion of the market will not be able to pay for certain things.
So what happens when there are items which must cater for 100% of the population? You need government intervention.
