I’m sorry. I just can’t get over the fact the FFA has 270 f’kin staff.
If they’re on the average Australian salary the total wage bill is $13m+.
I know it’s not JJs fault but FMD, this code is seriously fucked up.

The FFA is not saying we are regressing - the PFA is. What about the PFA come to the party in good faith rather than negotiate via press releases

Stand down 70% of your staff while keeping yourself on full exec pay.
Then "call for unity"...

Other codes are going to fall as well. ALF had to borrow $600m to stay solvent.
Big problems for them and the NRL.

Another false and misleading FTBL headline - according to the quotes in the article it was not FFA who made this statement, but John Didulica from the PFA. FFS, how difficult is it to make sure that you are reporting accurately?

+xI now count 5 clubs who have stood down players without pay. p.k. on abc news talked about the nrl using the jobkeeper payments to cover wages. i would expect the ffa and clubs can do the same thing. particularly important for our youth players who wouldnt have the financial capacity to keep themselves afloat and connected to fulltime football at the same time.

Football Victoria has stood down more than half of its workforce and ordered key executives to take an average 40 per cent pay cut as part of its effort to survive with minimal income during the coronavirus crisis. The soccer body, which controls hundreds of thousands of juniors and amateur players across the state as well as the semi professional NPL competition – the highest tier in the country below the A-League – had already cancelled games until April 14.

So the article has an picture of the FFA CEO when they haven't actually said anything to this effect. It's like the Daily Mail of football journalism.

We have never been united and it was all the FFS’s doing for putting the game in its current state.
Oh well, say bye bye A League. Watch the house burn down now.
Time for a reboot!

Time for a reboot! Lol. It was multiple times worse before. Hopefully any reboot will be done ensuring that the whole of football is involved not just a part of it like in 1957 and 2004.

That would be great if it was true. Try 70,000 Michael.

What the code needs in times of peril is strong leadership. The new FFA wouldn't know what it meant whilst the IndyHAL just looks after itself. But anything is better than Lowy.

Hopefully any reboot will be done ensuring that the whole of football is involved not just a part of it like in 1957 and 2004. can't disagree - it was very disjointed before but seriously whats the difference now..... Yep were professional < great step, had more money, internal politics < same as always and worse due to lowy/gallop, much higher profile, < now that hurts even more then back in the NSL days for its for all to see. So still in the pooop just different pooop year. paulc, as it stands we would still be in the same mess if lowys were still involved and maybe worse when coming out of it for nothing would have changed most likely anyway. yep anything is better than having them involved in the game, especially for #3 rebuild. charliecat agreed, our game will always survive. Look forward to the re birth, hopefully a better sequal than Alien/Lowy.
