SH is not stupid. he can see the writing on the wall. Lets just hope he stays in Oz and signs with whoever holds the rights for 2021-22 and beyond.

I'd think Hill wouldn't be cheap and he shouldn't be, he's outstanding. Could "FFA TV" afford him? Surely he's the "Australian" voice for the WWC.

So this is why Fox are not televising any past aleague matches, even though there is now  a contract in place...Hill is commentating in them.

German sky has it. Use it all the time to shut out those muppets.

If only they gave the option of the live stadium sound without commentary. Very easy to do, on a technical level.

Any match with Slater and Speed is a disaster. What makes it worse is that our only option is to watch on the TV at the moment. At least in the past we were able to attend home games. Now we will be stuck listening to these muppets every game.

Grand Final with Slater and Speed is a disaster. Fox just infuriating every football fan day by day.

There won't be any change. Fox looking to minimise costs, they'll go with what they've got. That means for the next year we are stuck with Harper, Speed and Slater with the occasional appearance from Zelic, Kosmina and McBreen. 

I would like to see a football and human rights platform come into existence headed up by Craig Foster and Simon Hill. As long as Fozz says words like beautiful and cosmic in most episodes, and Hill shouts Aloisiiiiii and maybe a drum solo at the end of that in a Tommy Lee rotating 360 degrees roll cage, or something like that.

Big loss, I hope its only temporary and he is back very soon.

I think its time to bring in some new fresh face to Aus football, as good as he is he is always replaceable and we need new people coming in instead of keeping the older washed up types year in year out. Time for a change is perfect.

My first thought was he'd be off to the UK. He's a quality commentator and could likely get a job nearly anywhere.

Big loss to the game if he returns to England but hopefully he returns in 18 mths to head up FFA TV live 

Having just finished reading his autobiography, I think he may have some unfinished business in the UK. His parents are also getting on so there'll be some anxiousness to rekindle family time.

In Australia it would seem Optus as a bigger change or perhaps the ABC. Someone is waiting in the wings to snap up football.

So many historic moments in the last 15 years has had his iconic voice capture it.
He will be sorely missed.
