+xDarn it leeds take the leed. They are ahead of ipswich You would think Leicester are too far ahead for both Ipswich and Leeds to overtake them, but stranger things have happened.

No Duke on opening day. Nice to see Deng start and get a win.

+xMan seems like i missed a banger of a game. 7 goals, a goal and 2 assists between the pauliroos How was the quality,John? Checked the lineups Metcalfe played wide right midfield. Think he plays much better there than AMC. Doesn't have the peripheral vision, first touch and quick thinking to play centrally but when he has time to think makes great decisions, has good vision and a great right peg that suits RM well. Has high stamina and workrate to get up and down the pitch. poor man's David Beckham type.

What made it work was the right back support and the centre mids coming to link up. I think as a 10 for Australia there's the issue of opponents coming from all sides. Here it's often only from 2 sides. Like Hrustic, pressure from all sides leads to panic.

Honestly glad we're finally having options in our national set up and depth across multiple positions.
We have the ability to start multiple starting 11's and all of them could be pretty strong. That's only going to improve as we get further development.
Souttar struggling for minutes. However the guy IS quality. He's premier league level. It's a shame he's not getting minutes but he has the quality to bounce back from this stall in his career.
Circati promising. Long as Parma don't choke he's gonna be a regular in the Seria A next season.
Bos can make that step up as well.
Metcalfe and Irvine hopefully can get promotion secured and be playing Bundesliga football together next season.
Volpato hopefully can secure his place in the Seria A (and commit to Australia)
We got quality players like Roberston who isn't proven but techinically very gifted.
I'm really really excited for the future. Haven't even got close to listing all the players who could really step up another level. Think we can give the next World Cup a really really really strong showing as long as we can secure qualification.

Already played 27 games for Portsmouth and labelled as one of the best players in the league and clear premier league player. I wouldn't label him proven but I would give the same misnomer most other Australian players, especially young ones.

Watched the first half for Volpato.
Really is there best player honestly going forward. Always looking to take on the defender and is making a ton of really great runs.
He'll probably be subbed off on the 60th minute again cause this coach aint the best lol. But based on that first half alone he should be starting the next match.

Boro concede early on and the whole fanbase is blaming Glover. Most want Dieng in immediately.

Look at the comments sections on twitter from Hearts fans, they absolutely hate Rowles and Atkinson. "Worst performance I've ever seen", "both need to be let go immediately". Rowles got subbed off but the fans are done with both after too many bad performances. Watching the Roos, I'm not really surprised. It's hard to have such polarising and inconsistent players starting in games.

Hard for a player to shine in a 5 zip loss but neiwenhof is doing well
Hearts are matching rangers in the midfield, winning and holding possession but arent good enough in other parts of the pitch. I guess rangers are used to teams parking the bus. So credit to hearts for trying to play football but its an ugly scoreline....
Middlesborough stream not working but from the stats i can guess. They are dominating possession but flogged in terms of chances created like many games this year. They lack the quality to break down a deep block and the defenders adept at stopping a counter. They need a top class striker and 2 fullbacks who can play as inverted fullbacks if they what to play this way. Too late now, so will have to wait until the off season

Boro are the only Championship team not to score today. I've won a few multis with 7 games at 70/1 but every one to score would be at least 300, which I put on nearly every week...Time yet

It's hard to have such polarising and inconsistent players starting in games. Reckon they are being a bit emotional here. Rowles and atkinson are a key part of the most miserly defence outside the glasgow giants (unless rangers keep scoring today) They have 3rd well and truly locked up. They just arent good enough yet to play possession football against the rangers sadly
