Tyrese hasn't played for ages for either the top team or the u23s. I reckon he'll be gone in January. It is an interesting question - I wouldn't think that Div 7 would be a higher level than u23s for a PL team?

Actually I posted too soon and realised I got my facts wrong after more research

Marlee Francois went on loan to Bath CIty from Bristol City end of August. Was supposed to be for 4 months but for some reason, that I cant figure out, he was back at Bristol City u/23's after 4 or 5 weeks. And Bristol City send a lot of their U/23's on loan to clubs at that level so it wasnt really a special case.  Bristol City are in the Championship but I cant find any talk that Marlee is even close to making a senior squad. But he is only 18.

Tyrese refused to sign a new contract with Fulham so he has been dropped from both Senior squads and u/23 team. Havent found any news on any team looking at signing him but unless he agrees a new deal he will definitely be gone in January transfer window.  He isnt the only one in this situation at Fulham, young Wunderkid Fabio Carvalho is in the same boat. Really hard to get promoted to first team and get regular minutes if your team is yo-yoing between EPL relegation and Championship promotion - managers wont take risks. Lets hope he goes somewhere he can get first team minutes.

Caleb Watts is in similar boat for Southampton, Carving up u/23's, first team coach acknowledging he is a real talent - but southampton are in a dog fight to stay up and they have far less injuries than last year when Watts got some first team minutes. Hopefully he gets a loan somewhere in January. But how many times have young aussies been in this same boat for last 10 years? Honestly there must have been a few dozen. Shine in EPL and Championship youth academy teams, most dont break into first team squads, those who do are lucky to play a handful of games before they are let go. I'd say at least 50% never kick on to any type of football career beyond 2 or 3 seasons at very low levels. I'd say most dont even play more than a handful of games at Olyroos/Young socceroos level. Extremely frustrating to the point I'm now cynical that its actually an effective pathway.

Check out the ridiculous through ball to set up the goal & run later on where he goes through their entire midfield and defence to nearly score. He's a goal scoring CAM, something we've been crying out for

If people are serious about selecting these players than fine. Identity a select/core group of 5 or 6-ish from this age group, and bleed them into the senior set-up/selection real early/young and build a team around that core group of youngsters. Other wise just let the kids develop at their own rate without the added pressure of being touted as the next Kewell, Cahill etc.

Him and mabil both have cooked themselves this season.  Speaking to the media and saying you will be leaving end of season is dumbest thing to do

How realistic is this sort of Team of the Week. Seems odd to only have one Rangers, One Celtic and no Hearts or Hibs players in a Scottish Team of the Week.
