90 for Dougall in a 4-1 loss to Nottingham Forest. Dougall didn’t really do anything wrong; his team just couldn’t contain a ruthless Forest. He had a decent chance on goal in the second half and was a general pest around the middle of the park when defending. He’s definitely not a glamorous player, but he does a job breaking up play.

He had a decent chance on goal in the second half and was a general pest around the middle of the park when defending. He’s definitely not a glamorous player, but he does a job breaking up play. They are blowing up about him on the Blackpool forums. Lots of comments like “not good enough for the Championship” To be fair, not many of their players actually look like they are championship level players. Their entire team got completely outclassed in that game. For them to single him out is harsh. I have seen a few of their games this season and he has been one of their better players in those. FotMob regularly has him rated in the 7+ category and his team are lower-mid table. Against the teams around them on the table, he’s just fine.

JRB, Burgess, luongo, kalik, sainsbury, degenek, behich, genreau started, circati got 70 odd minutes. Hrustic, kamau, JCP, iredale, Mcgree, Grdic, gersbach, unused.
No AMB, devlin, Irvine or atkinson who I’m assuming are all injured/covid.
JRB and kalik the most encouraging I believe. JRB seems to be in their best XI now and souttar was playing the same level a couple of years ago so the chance is there. Kalik got MOTM and by all reports is killing it over there

He was literally our next golden boy back in 2018 - he was great in the friendlies leading up to the world cup & was pretty good in the tournament. From there it's just turned to shit for him. Very unlucky for both himself & the NT. I think he needs to come home & reboot his career in the a league

Metcalfe 2 & 4 in 18 games & started against Japan. Croatian League better level than A League? I'm not sure if he's in consideration but maybe he should be?

Tearing it up in the A league unfortunately doenst count for much. If you cant compete in a weak European league you probably just lack talent.

If iredale scores goals this season he could be in the mix for the next cycle. I don’t think he should be anywhere the squad for the next two games

Man! Watching Ange's Celtic and comparing to our Socceroos is like a night and day. Someone should show this game to Arnie of how a desperate and urgency of football is like. In a do or die game in our world cup qualify we need a fighting spirit like this Celtic team. Don't let the opposition breathe, everyone never stop running. What a beautiful game and what a pressing football. Very exciting to watch. This is absolutely opposite to Arnie boring football.
