+x+xWhat a lovely morning this morning is. A beautiful day indeed 🙂🇩🇪 tbh for the benefit of the SPL additional revenue, exposure and appeal it would have been good for the game there having both bossum buddies doing ok ROFL :) The other lot did their bit. No need for them to over exert themselves 😉

+x+x5-4 pens good final, congrats to Hrustic. I see quoted first Aussie in 15yrs to win Euro silverware (i suspect in finals) - who was that 15yrs ago ? Kalac at Milan? yes in 06/07 he played in CL/Super Cup and Club WC games but no trophy that I recall. Just wonder what they meant, just participation in Euro games maybe.

+xCongrats to Eintracht Frankfurt and to Ajdin Hrustic, first Aussie male to win Euro silverware in a long while (2008?) with Kalac? It will be interesting to see if they keep him or loan him out, he's not a regular starter so if Champions League in mind they will want to strengthen the squad hopefully for our sake he's part of the Champions League for next season because we don't have many playing at that level. Hrustic plan ay as a 6, 8, 10, 7 or 11... and so not surprisingly he tends to be the first sub on every week or the first player rotated into the team when someone is rested. Champions league means more games.. no way will he go out on loan, will plenty of matches next yr. He's definitely good where he is and is now a hero of the club - Frankfurt do not have a storied history, with only 1 uefa cup in 70's and a league win in the 50's so fans will always remember the penalty takers just like we do with the Uruguay game.

so glad for Ajden, he's worked really hard over the last few years and he's been rewarded. Would love to see him have a try in Italy or something think hes better suited to a league like that.

I'm in London and Rangers Jerseys are everywhere.

Goal Taggart. 4 weeks ago I thought his fitness would simply not build in time but it has. He'll be selected.

Scottish Cup final is going to extra time after 0-0 at 90. Atkinson and Devlin have played the full match so far. It’s been a very entertaining game, given the score line.
Also, it’s a shame we couldn’t get John Souttar for the Socceroos as well. He’s been the sole reason why Hearts are still in it. He’s a monster of a CB.

From The Scotsman
Nathaniel Atkinson:
Rangers focused most of their attacks down Hearts’ right and Atkinson had to deal with not only Kent but also the overlapping Bassey. It was a testing afternoon for the recently-capped Australian but he stood up to challenge. 6
Cammy Devlin:
The tenacious Australian has made a reputation for himself of being a tough-tackling midfielder and he did not disappoint here. Constantly harried all shirts in blue. Understandably faded but can be proud of his performance. 8
From The Edinburgh News
5. Nathaniel Atkinson - 7 Tasked with marshalling Bassey and Kent on the right and didn't let himself down against a fearsome double-act.
7. Cammy Devlin - 8 Snarled and snapped his way through 105 minutes in the engine room for Hearts. Pounced on loose balls, thundered into tackles, and ran himself into the ground
