He was near enough despite initially moving the wrong way.
A taller keeper could likely have gotten a finger to it.
It's not his fault and certainly not a howler or even a small mistake BUT that doesn't detract from the fact that other keepers would save that

Yep. Maty's career is littered with them. So many conceded goals where you just feel he could have done better and reflect his limitations.  We need to accept he's a good keeper, but he's not world class by any standard.

Consider the power on the shot and the distance of the deflection from goal, no need to put the microscope on a keeper for that one. Good hit, questionable defending.

Politics aside, hard to argue Dougall hasn't played himself back into WC contention.  Not only his current form, but stretching back o his 3 years at Blackpool.   The other DM options being Devlin and Baccus in my view, although a Jeggo discussion is also valid.  Pick two - thoughts??

Devlin and Dougall. Jeggo led well and did a lot of good tidying but can't really build attacks and have away silly penalties. Baccus is getting better but I can't see him playing much before the rest.

surely dougall gets picked, hes doing exactly what Arnold wants... hes in good form, playing well, it will a horrible example to other players if he doesnt. The guy is built for big games, he always steps up in derbies/finals. 

Baccus is well ahead of Devlin. He's already scored two league goals for goodness sake in just a handful of games.
