Our turn unfortunately. Diogo Jota, Kante, James. I think Sommer is also banged up badly. Part of the game but sucks for all involved.

https://youtu.be/4AeUIBx6b8YSeems all German cup games are streamed by the DFB outside Germany. This seems to be their legit page. What a service.

https://youtu.be/btsStq6_TwcCopenhagen highlights. A shame Maty couldn't get to that shot. Bit of cup magic for the home side but thankfully Maty saved a pen.

He could’ve saved it. It's the sort of non-save that time and time again people here make Maty's excuses for him (saw it late etc). End of the day, many many keepers make this save and most likely his dickhead teammate

+xFFS it didnt go under him. Plus it was deflected. Zero chance. He was near enough despite initially moving the wrong way. A taller keeper could likely have gotten a finger to it. It's not his fault and certainly not a howler or even a small mistake BUT that doesn't detract from the fact that other keepers would save that

And as for his colleague, I doubt he would, his reflexes ain't that good.

So many conceded goals where you just feel he could have done better and reflect his limitations. We need to accept he's a good keeper, but he's not world class by any standard.

Consider the power on the shot and the distance of the deflection from goal, no need to put the microscope on a keeper for that one. Good hit, questionable defending.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

After the WC break, Verona don't play again til January 2023, so hoping that's what the author here means by citing 2023, and Hrustic may still be a chance for WC. Fingers crossed. Shattering blow

+xDougall starting vs Hull who are without Elder citing a minor hamstring issue. McGree bench Politics aside, hard to argue Dougall hasn't played himself back into WC contention. Not only his current form, but stretching back o his 3 years at Blackpool. The other DM options being Devlin and Baccus in my view, although a Jeggo discussion is also valid. Pick two - thoughts??

Devlin and Dougall. Jeggo led well and did a lot of good tidying but can't really build attacks and have away silly penalties. Baccus is getting better but I can't see him playing much before the rest.

surely dougall gets picked, hes doing exactly what Arnold wants... hes in good form, playing well, it will a horrible example to other players if he doesnt. The guy is built for big games, he always steps up in derbies/finals.

Baccus is well ahead of Devlin. He's already scored two league goals for goodness sake in just a handful of games.

90 for Boyle and McGowan who played against each other. Hibs 1-2 St. Johnstone King subbed on in the 76th minute

+xSo no Taggart for Cerezo Osaka in Japanese cup final? Is he injured? Strangest situation there. Disappears from squad yet scores regularly while having some niggles. No info for this fixture. I guess it's fairly common in a good squad that anyone not totally health can be left out.
