Young Jahce Novello (18 y.o) was on the bench for Cosenza today (Serie B). Great reward for scoring in 10 out his last 14 starts for the primavera team.

Volpato got the final 13 minutes in a Roma’s 4-3 loss. He was one of the higher rated subs on FotMob and the goal was scored after he came on, so that’s not the worst thing.
Also, FTBL put out an article about an 18 year old CB at AGF Aarhus, Diesel Herrington, who has been on the bench for the first team in their last few games and has apparently impressed the manager. They have a game in the early morning, so you’d expect him to be on the bench again for them.

Normally plays u19s. https://www.transfermarkt.com/jahce-novello/profil/spieler/821125

Massive chance to get some game time soon. Wasn't Ikon picked based of Primavera form? Novella scored 8 from the last 10 starts... yet not even a look at? his form is better than volpato's was at that level.

Until Volpato officially picks Italy I reckon we still view him as an Aussie abroad. He came through our system after all.

AMB starting vs Watts on bench. Dougall bench. McGree starting. Wright apparently with a small injury.

Gets rid of the ball so quickly, often with his back facing goal and makes a positive forward pass he also is better at shielding the ball than most players at this level

Even if they win I dont think he gets a medal, didnt even make the bench last night and they were at home... seems weird to me - Pep sees him as future but wont let him at least sit on bench?. I don't think you will see him near the first team for a while. Pep does not like when you whinge to media about game time. He may not have whinged per se but Pep will see it that way.

In the nicest way possible I literally have no idea what you are talking about there. Are you referring to Robertson? And if so when did he talk about game time?

+xdougall and elder constantly overlooked for socceroos yet playing at the highest level of any fringe aussies. what on earth have these guys done wrong? I've followed both for a long time in detail. Long story short Elder got a niggle every single bloody window. It was always the absolute worst timing every single time because he was constantly touted. On top there was the fair competition from Smith, Gersbach and then Meredith had his good run and there was the late return from Davidson and then King. Yet there is something else. I heard a podcast with him once and he's Private school educated and came across as incredibly well spoken and captain material. At the same time there have been a few incidents around Hull with fans that he's incredibly arrogant and snobbish. My hunch is he didn't click so well with the playing group in the window he made his debut. It would be a massive shame. I've seen him live and he's better than Behich. He's nearing 200 games in England. There's also the point that he might just not fit into the tactical mindset of Arnold. Arnold has his system and that's OK. It just doesn't include the two of them. That's something where I think Dougall is too. An excellent football brain who can go box to box and shoot. It's true his Jordan friendly pre play off was a disaster. Luongo in Sochi mood like. Call it an off day at the end of a long club season with the information in his head that he wasn't going to feature at all in the playoffs. Players evidently do this. We've got so many midfielders (thankfully and they're very good) yet Dougall is actually the best all rounder from a skillset perspective and he can also play right back. Call it a League One Playoff at your peril but scoring those two goals on that stage and what he's gone on to next shows he's a very capable type. Happy to have the depth. Thanks to Behich for a great WC but he can count himself fortunate I think. Can anyone remember it was Behich who was very technically sound while Smith the athlete was murdering us during the 2018 campaign?
