Great strike from McGree. Lateral run and hard fast low finish into the bottom corner from beyond the 18 yard box. Amazing. Would his game translate to a higher level league?

His assist for the 3rd goal was class as well. He's got all of the skills, but you're expected to perform like that week in week out in the EPL, so I'm not sure he would have the consistency at this point.

Gilsenan scores for Blackburn in League Cup.
I see Dench played for Charlton in the EFL trophy. That is first team football but a very minor side tournament where youth teams and most EFL clubs play their bench and youth for fitness.

A double for Gilsenan. It's 8:0 away to Harrogate.

App notifications say Gilsenan with a hat trick but upon clicking on the game it's been revised that he's just scored once.

Ryan and the 3 at Hearts starting in qualifying for Europe.
Degenek will face City, Leipzig and Young Boys.
Should Tilio ever play UCL let alone for Celtic, it's Feyenoord, Atletico and Lazio.

Hearts down 2:0 at HT. A shame as European nights would've been great. Jeggo and Miller starting at Villa Park in an essential dead rubber.

AZ qualify on pens. My ticker say Brann 'missed' lots of Ryan plaudits though so I assume he saved it. 3:3 after 120min.

I agree the standard isn't great but this thing ebb and flow

Really enjoyed the qualifiers and Hearts are a nice club in a great ground and city. Just lack the capital to nudge that level higher with some really top players.

The 3rd goal I was annoyed Maty missed it but when you look at it, he knows his defender is to high right. He can't risk jump in case a header in made downward and he's got the whole left of goal to worry about. Also, his arm is stretched. imagine stretching all the way and still needing another 30cm ruler to touch the ball, you just can't reach it without the massive risk of and early jump to the right. Nice anticipation to save. Got to the 5th as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdNdJnrUFTI

Strain named Player of the Month in Scotland.
Really he should be starting for the national team, hopefully he does this window.

Liam Chipperfield scored his 2nd goal in as many games for his new club Sion. I know he's a long shot, but he left Basel & hasn't been picked for a Swiss under age team for a couple of years. He might end up playing for us.

What's the point of travelling halfway across the world to play youth football? He will play good competition in Europe. Did he pull out of the french tournament due to injury?

I seem to recall he pulled out of the squad for "personal reasons".

Segecic's move to a dutch 2nd division club is interesting, he will probably get around 10-20 games this season maybe more and from that it either that gets the attention of that dutch club to buy him or for another one to do the same as the dutch league does player development very well or he comes back next season for Sydney FC as a better developed player to the point where he will look to be a starting player next season.
Good luck to him, watching him at the u20s he's clearly a very talented player.
