I don't think we're in any place where a 6:0 defeat risks Arnold's job. What I want to say is it could even be a time to give Robertson a start against a much higher opposition. England play Italy a few days later so I expect Australia will face Watkins and Bowen who are actually as if not more lethal than their regulars. I say go for it and play the most in form players. Strain, Robertson, Circati among others. A team based on pure club form is probably like this -------------ryan----------- -miller/strain--circati-burgess-bos --------------------metcale-luongo------- -----------------------------genreau--------- --------------mcgree-----boyle----goodwin That's about right. I'd love to see that. Duke is valuable in the air , press from the front and hold the ball (even without scoring still very helpful). The Socceroos didn't have any other options. Boyle is best as a winger. At the club they used to put him as a striker , didn't work well.

Looks like he's started to adapt to the pace and showing them what he can do.

Interesting how NZ have top players in positions we've struggled. Cacace and Wood in a Roos shirt would be awesome. All fan fantasy of course. Unless I'm mistaken Lyndon Dykes is a pretty pure product of Australian football and it is ironic how highly touted he is in the English and Scottish game.

Another who comes across as a bit slow or doesn't have enough moments to show for the Olyroos so hopefully the foot can be put down on the back of this level boost.

I felt he consolidated our midfield in the national team when we needed to win the ball. It's just unfortunate the ball he was foul of a pretty harsh VAR call against China and the Saudi penalty foul was badly timed on his part. I don't think he'll be back nor would he be interested in travelling for those preliminary round games as a squad filler.
