Kuol scored the 7th goal in a preseason friendly for Stuttgart in a 10-1 win. Good achievement nonetheless. I still have my doubts about the whole thing and to be honest If he even plays 25 seconds for the first team in the bundesliga I’ll be very very surprised.

Ah yes, the old 1.Bundesliga double digit preseason friendly win followed by never being seen again.

+x+x+xThe more I think about it the more I feel this Robertson kid isnt going to play for us, and fair enough too we got plenty of good young talent that gives me optimism for the future. I agree we've got some good young lads coming through, but we're not like the big boys, we can't really afford to lose quality young players like him (doing well in 2nd team squad at Man City at 17). He's probably a dime a dozen in England, but he'd be in the top 3 in his age group for us, if not top, so I'd be monitoring his progress at Ross County extremely closely & if he does well probably caping him for Socceroos before Scotland & Peru get there first!! As I said before, he'll never play for England - Bellingham has only played a few minutes at the Euro's and he's a far better player and probably 6th in the midfield pecking order for their top team I agree, he probably knows Bellingham personally and has looked at his prospects with England and I'm sure he's thinking about who to get capped by all the time. I can't name a better 18 year old Australian CM. This first senior season will be make or break. You'd hope that he'd be looking at his chances against other players in the other NT sides, then looking at their potential of making world cups and winning continental tournaments etc. If it goes that way he'd surely go with Australia.

I would agree he appears to have the most potential for his age group given what he has done at youth level, but he hasnt played a game against men yet so how can we know his actual ability. There are plenty of stories of players who do well at youth level and cant cut it as an adult. Remember Rhain Davis? He is playing non league now and went to Man Utd as a 12 year old from Australia. Just important to have some perspective on this kid, and not place too much pressure on him at a young age.

I dont think it would make or break him, remember Mooy's time in Scotland wasnt crash hot either so its important not to judge too early. I just basing it on my judgment that he might not play for us unless if its a fall back option, I could be wrong but I think he rejected a Olyroos call up recently and fair enough too if he doesnt want to play for us its he's choice regardless how hard Arnie and co. try playing for your country should be an emotional choice more than a rational one. The Ben Simmons situation regarding the Boomers is an interesting case story too, clearly he's eligible but maybe he doesnt want to play for us no matter how hard Basketball Australia tries.

The Ben Simmons situation regarding the Boomers is an interesting case story too, clearly he's eligible but maybe he doesnt want to play for us no matter how hard Basketball Australia tries. I think It's so cringeworthy the way that dual nationality players from Basketball and Football are looked upon in their respective spheres regarding intl allegiances. It's mostly the fans. If I was reading half the stuff about people wanting me to play for their country, I'd be doing everything in my power to not play for them. People just need to realise it's not just one thing that might sway you to want to play for a nation, there is a whole bunch of other stuff that goes on inside someones head. Let them make their own minds up. Mark Robertson, posted the photo of Alex in his Ross County gear, and the first comment on it was, "he'd look better in this" with a socceroos shirt accompanying the text. To me thats just cringe, and probably works in the opposite way it's intended..

Langerak and Grant played 90 against each other.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Courtney-Perkins subbed on in the 53rd minute in a friendly against Tirol. They'll face Salzburg in a few days.

As far as I can see his first training session was only yesterday, he wasn't in the squad for today's friendly. I'd like to know what his relationship with Arnie is like.

I think Doni Grdic will be one to watch this season. 19 year old with a mid table Croatian team, sat on the bench a fair bit last year and got a couple of late sub appearances at the end of the year. He might be in line for more minutes this year.
